The first collection of romantic poems in the history of China literature is The Songs of the South. The Songs of Chu was edited by Liu Xiang in the Western Han Dynasty, which included the works of Qu Yuan, Song Yu, Dong Fangshuo and Liu Xiang, and concentrated on Qu Yuan's romantic literary thought. Songs of the South is not only the source of China's romantic literature, but also has a far-reaching influence on later literature. Chu Ci is the first collection of romantic poems in the history of China literature, which is said to be a new poetic style created by Qu Yuan. The name of "Songs of the South" existed in the early years of the Western Han Dynasty and was compiled by Liu Xiangnai. Wang Yi wrote chapters and sentences in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
