Introduction to the classic reading program "Our Festival"

Chinese culture has a long history, and Chinese classics are enduring. In recent years, our school has been focusing on reciting and teaching Chinese classics. "Our Festival" is a program prepared by our school to participate in the district classic reading competition.

The entire program embodies three design intentions:

1. Capture classic poems and feel the beauty of chanting

The program is composed of four festivals in series, the Spring Festival , Lantern Festival, Qingming Festival and Dragon Boat Festival. Classic poems related to traditional festivals such as "Yuan Ri", "Sapphire Case·Yuan Xi", "Qingming" and "Ode to Orange" were selected. It opens with the dance "Yuan Ri" to exaggerate the joyful and festive atmosphere. Other poems are presented in the form of recitation, during which the origins of the Lantern Festival and the Dragon Boat Festival are introduced. It aims to nourish children's innocence with the beauty of poetry, and use the reading method of chanting to feel the beauty of ancient people's reading and the beauty of the rhythm of poetry.

Reciting is the reading method of the ancients. It has quietly entered the campus in 2013. In 2015, our school teachers’ small project "Guiding students to appreciate ancient poems through the reading method of reciting" was successfully studied. In 2016, it was successfully studied in our school Comprehensive promotion, our school currently has Chinese studies courses such as chanting clubs.

2. Praise the feelings of wise saints and express gratitude to famous people in hometown

The Lantern Festival selects "The Sapphire Case: Yuanxi" by Xin Qiji, a patriotic poet from the Song Dynasty, and then introduces the Lantern Festival in the form of storytelling The story of the girl and Dongfang Shuo is used to commemorate the wise saint Dongfang Shuo, a famous person in his hometown, and spread his kindness, wisdom, patriotism and protecting the people, so as to achieve the purpose of loving his hometown, following the famous person as an example, and working hard to make progress.
