After arriving in Beijing, Julian was appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Women and Children of the Central Ministry of Health and Director of the Office of the Central Committee for Epidemic Prevention. Julian wrote a book "Acupuncture Lecture" in North China Health School. The book is about 300,000 words, divided into five chapters, including introduction, therapeutic principles, acupuncture, acupoints, various theories and treatments, with some illustrations.
