There are three versions of ancient poetry, which are the works of Zhu, Meng Jiao and Yan Zhenqing. Its original text, phonetic version and translation are as follows:

The Pinyin Version of Zhu's Poems of Encouraging Learning in Song Dynasty;

This is a good example.

The days of youth are easy to pass away, and learning is difficult to succeed, so cherish every inch of time and don't let it go easily.

This is a good example.

Before the sweet spring grass grows in the pond, the plane leaves in front of the steps have rustled in the autumn wind.

The days of youth are easy to pass, but learning is difficult to succeed, so cherish every inch of time and don't let it go easily. The dream of growing spring grass in the pond is still awake, and the leaves of plane trees rustle in the autumn wind in front of the steps.

The Pinyin Version of Meng Jiao's "Encouraging Learning" in Tang Dynasty;

This is a good example.

If you hit a stone, there will be fire, but if you don't hit Yuan, there will be no smoke.

Len Xu Ridao.

It is unnatural to learn without learning.

You're right, you're right.

Everything has to be his own luck. He has to be my sage.

This is the first time I have seen you.

Youth must be early, how can we grow into teenagers?

Only when you hit a stone will there be sparks; If you don't fight, not even a little smoke will come out. So do people. Only by studying can we master knowledge. Without learning, knowledge will not fall from the sky. Everything depends on your own practice, and the knowledge gained by others can't replace your own talent. You should work hard as soon as possible while you are young. Can a person be a teenager forever?

In Tang Dynasty, Yan Zhenqing's Pinyin Version of "Persuading Learning";

Sang Tang Dan Hu ǒ w ǔ g ē ng, zhèng shnár dúshshí.

Every day when the cock crows, it is the best time for boys to read.

This is a good example.

Teenagers only know how to play, but don't know how to study hard. When they are old, they regret why they didn't know how to study hard when they were young.

Midnight is the best time for boys to study every day. When I was a teenager, I only knew how to play and didn't know how to study hard. When I was old, I regretted why I didn't know how to study hard when I was young.

Poetry appreciation

This poem is widely circulated in Japan and now, thinking that it was written by Zhu, so it is reserved for reference. Its main purpose is to persuade young people to cherish time and study hard, which is both persuasion and self-warning. The language of the poem is easy to understand, and the image is vivid and vivid. Compared with the dream of spring grass in the pond and the sudden autumn sound of phoenix trees in front of the steps, the poem is very appropriate and doubles the power of exhortation.

Meng Jiao's "Encouraging Learning": The first four sentences say that if you want to understand knowledge, you must study. The importance of learning is illustrated by the simple metaphor of throwing stones at fire. The last four sentences say that everything needs to be done by yourself, thinking and creating, and point out that youth will soon pass, so we should seize the time to study and not waste time. The whole poem is sincere, simple and natural, vivid and convincing.
