Mengye is a young poet with great artistic personality and creative ability in Shaanxi. After many years His experience has formed his own unique poetry style and creative characteristics. His good writing status provided him with lasting motivation to use poetry as an important literary reserve, climb to the top of the poetry world, and then conquer novels.
The new era places high demands on writers. Mengye shoulders the mission and strives to realize his higher life value through literature, which is very rare. His call for life and melancholy about the environment are full of realistic and forward-looking connotations, making it unforgettable and shocking to read. There is no limit to art, and we have great hopes in Mengye.

Developing Poetry on the Land of Northern Shaanxi (Published in People's Daily)
Mengye reminds me of Li Ji when I was young. I have seen Li Ji when he was young, but I have seen the photo, and I think he looks like, or rather looks like Liu Qing who came out of northern Shaanxi. Mengye is a very simple person, Bai Hua said that he does not look like a poet on the outside. Probably the image of poets in people's minds is that of poets with long hair, who are more romantic. I don’t look like a poet anymore, but actually there is spiritual connotation in it.
After reading Meng Ye’s poems, I feel that he is indeed a poet, and a creative and good poet. There are also many poets in northern Shaanxi, and they can be roughly divided into three types: one is heavily influenced by the economy and culture of northern Shaanxi, including folk songs, which is reflected in their poems; the other is those who try their best to get rid of northern Shaanxi, The writing is more flamboyant or ethereal; the third type is like Mengye, who will always stand on that land, but has distanced himself from the poetry creation on that land. He created on that land in the manner of a modern poet. When I read his collection of poems "Wake Up in Beijing", especially the first few poems, I felt that he was a sculptor, using the soil of northern Shaanxi to shape the people of northern Shaanxi. There is a sculptor in Shaanxi who molded the characters in Chen Zhongshi's novel "White Deer Plain" into clay figurines. When I read Mengye's poem, I immediately thought of this. He highlighted the characters, describing his father's left eye and right eye, and his mother's left and right hands. He highlighted the characters at once, and from this highlighted image, he entered his spirit. This kind of writing has gone beyond the general flat narrative of facts or characters, and it has made people three-dimensional. When Wen Yiduo was talking about poetry, he paid attention to the beauty of architecture, painting, and music in poetry... I think this kind of sculpture, this kind of depiction of characters, this kind of outstanding expression of emotions, breaks the general view of this kind of poetry. Specific facts, or descriptions of events. This is a very good way of writing and is a unique aspect of Yumeno.
Whether he is writing about the human relationships in northern Shaanxi or the world situation in northern Shaanxi, he always makes me feel like a voice of God. It's not like people from outside the country who went to northern Shaanxi and wrote it after interviews. It comes from the throat, from the blood, and is an emotion that has been there since childhood. There is a girl named Wang Erni in northern Shaanxi who is very popular on the stage. In fact, in terms of appearance, she is neither tall nor beautiful. But with her voice, it is difficult for people who sing folk songs in northern Shaanxi to catch up with her. Why? It's the sincerity of her emotions. When she sang, it was as if she was remembering and talking to her parents. This real emotion is very touching. In Mengye's poems, this kind of emotion is truly revealed. To say that it is original, this is the original tone. This kind of original emotion is very sincere. We are lacking this more and more now. Where is the shortage? Quezai people are walking around in the southeast, northwest, and everywhere they go seems familiar, but in fact they are very strange. I took a look at those places and recorded things, but my emotions were not involved. Meng Ye is original, his emotions are his flesh and blood, and his creations are sincerely revealed from his emotions. This is very good and very important.
I have been in Beijing for so many years, and I rarely write poems about Beijing. I think there is also a problem, that is, the memories that fill my mind when I wrote before are still from Shaanxi. Mengye's most profound, emotional and touching poems are his poems about Shenmu countryside. Agriculture, rural areas, and farmers collided with him, inspired him, and impacted him. The poems created in this way are powerful and heavy.
The energy it contains is like the coal of the sacred wood, and the heat inside is relatively high. For a poet like him, who is a native poet, it is very important to respect his own life experience and emotions.
Northern Shaanxi has undergone earth-shaking changes. It used to be the poorest place, but now it has become the richest. The past was the place where the revolution took root. People today still maintain the revolutionary spirit and apply the revolution to construction and change the appearance of their hometowns. For the creator, it does not mean that he is done writing about the people and things in northern Shaanxi. That is not the case. I think that land is also constantly growing a spirit. Mengye's poem "Sacred Tree" contains some legends and some history... But the new sacred tree, the new life, shows us the face, how we understand it, excavate it, and embody it, this is for contemporary poets A very high challenge. On that land, let our spirit generate a kind of vitality and make our life force become stronger. When we write, our vision should be broader, our exploration should be deeper, and our thinking should be longer. This is also very important.
I also have a trouble now, that is, when I am writing, I often run around here and there, so I am exhausted. In poems, I can often tell where some poets have been these past few days, and where they have gone. It is terrible to write something superficial and look around, like a "travel poet". It is important for creators to have a point of life, a place to inspire things, and a place to maintain emotions. You should cherish the place you have stayed in. I hope Mengye can write about many other themes or other places in the future. The preciousness of his poetry, the strength of his work, is the development of that land. Northern Shaanxi used to be poor, suffering from drought and little rain. The yield of millet and millet cultivation was not high. Today, with coal, gas, and oil, we need to describe a brand new northern Shaanxi, let the world know it, and embark on a journey to northern Shaanxi. This is also very important.
Mengye has become a cultural business card of Shenmu. Shaanxi’s famous poets and writers are Shaanxi’s cultural business cards. For example, when you talk about Chen Zhongshi and Jia Pingwa, you think of Shaanxi, and when you talk about Shaanxi people, you will definitely think of them, so this is their importance, that is, northern Shaanxi not only produces coal, it produces culture, and the people who create culture. I think this is also very valuable.
I admire poets like Mengye very much and think he has great potential. After all, he is young and has a bright future. He hopes to absorb some of the fine traditions of local culture. His language also has a characteristic, it has a strong sense of rhythm, but some of it is similar to a vocabulary list. This seems to be very rich and plump, but in fact some of it is not an image, but some conceptual things. When I say this, I feel that Mengye is a poet that we in northern Shaanxi are proud of, and he is also a poet that our Shaanxi Province is proud of. I hope he can produce better works and more ambitious works. He has this ability.
