Characteristics of Changyao Style Poems

Changyao style poetry is characterized by being good at publicizing the splendor of life in deep predicament, blending feelings and passions into dignified and magnificent images, and forming a harmonious whole with vicissitudes of life, ancient and open western cultural background and broad life consciousness.

The poet's later poems tend to be quiet and aware, and the language tends to be slightly peaceful, with strong intellectual tension, forming a grand poetic personality.

Changyao (1June 27, 936-March 23, 2000), formerly known as Wang Changyao, was a poet from Taoyuan, Hunan.

/kloc-0 joined the China people's liberation army in April, 1950, and/kloc-0 began to publish poems in June, 1954. On March 23, 2000, after months of fighting lung adenocarcinoma, Chang Yao committed suicide by jumping off a building in Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital.
