Is there a story that moved for seven days and seven nights behind the song "Without Clothes" sung by Dafu Qin?

The drama Dafuqin not only shows the scene of countries conquering each other at the end of the Warring States, but also shows us the details of life and military affairs more than 2,000 years ago. It is reported that in order to restore the details as much as possible, the crew set up more than 1000 scenes, which can be described as well-intentioned. In the play, the soldiers of the State of Qin repeatedly sang an old ballad, which is the famous "No Clothes".

"No Clothes" is a poem in The Book of Songs Qin Feng. In the TV series Dafuqin, it was sung many times, especially at the funeral of the King of Qin. There is a two-minute scene where all Qin people are singing this poem, and the scene is very shocking. From the audience's point of view, the poem "No Clothes" is not only inspiring, but also tragic.

In fact, according to Zuo Zhuan and Wu Yue Chun Qiu, Behind Nothing is a story that touched seven days and seven nights in history, which is tragic and understandable. The story happened in the late Spring and Autumn Period. That year, King Chu Ping listened to the slanders and killed a teacher, Wu She, and the whole family was slaughtered. Only the second son, Wu Zixu, managed to escape from Chu and vowed to destroy it. Wu Zixu came to the State of Wu to assist He Lv, the king of Wu, in his succession. Because of the deep hatred between Wu Zixu and Chu, Wu Zixu proposed a plan of "disturbing Chu and exhausting Chu" to He Lv, the king of Wu. The State of Wu invaded the State of Chu many times, which made the State of Chu very passive.

In 506 BC, King Zhao of Chu humiliated Tang and Cai, and King He Lv of Wu took the opportunity to unite the two countries to attack Chu. Wu Zixu, a famous soldier, joined forces with Sun Wu, a "soldier saint", and the army was on a roll, breaking Ying, the capital of Chu, and King Zhao of Chu fled in a hurry. After Wu Zixu captured the capital of Ying, in order to avenge his father and brother, he did not hesitate to dig up the tomb of King Chu Ping and lash his corpse for 300 times to vent his anger. The monarch of Chu fled, the ancestral temple was destroyed, and the country almost died.

When Chu faced national subjugation, a man stepped forward. His name is Shen. Shen's surname is not recorded in history, except that his name is Bao Xu, so his name is because he was sealed in the Emperor of God. In order to revive Chu, Shen had to turn to other countries for help. At that time, He Lv, the king of Wu, almost dominated Jianghuai, and only two countries could compete with Wu, one being Qin. Considering the feud between Jin and Chu, the only country that could save Chu at that time was Qin. So, Shen came to Qin State and asked Qin Aigong, the monarch of Qin State 14 generation, for help.

However, after consulting with the ministers of Qin State, Qin Aigong did not intend to rescue the State of Chu. Shen begged for a long time, but he was refused. Shen didn't give up. He cried outside the wall of Qin State for 7 days and 7 nights, but neither water nor rice came in, begging Qin State to send troops. During seven days and seven nights, the people of Qin were moved one after another, and Qin Aigong was finally moved by Shen.

Qin Aihong was moved and wrote "No Clothes". According to Wu Yue Chun Qiu, (Qin Aigong) wrote a poem about "no clothes": "No clothes, no robes. Wang Yu woke up, and his son were enemies ... "Qin Aigong sent Master Man and two generals to Chu with 500 passengers to fight against the Wu army. At the same time, the State of Yue also attacked the State of Wu from the rear, and the Chu people also cooperated with the enemy. Wu's army finally withdrew from Chu, so that King Zhao and Chu could return to China, and Chu was revived.

Shen cried for 7 days and 7 nights, and this song "No Clothes" was born. The full text is:

Have I nothing to wear? Robe with my son. Wang Yu started his army, repaired my spear, and shared his hatred with his son.

Have I nothing to wear? Take your son. Wang Yu started his army, repaired my spear and halberd and worked with his son.

Have I nothing to wear? Take your son. Wang Yu started the division, trained our soldiers and walked with his son.

However, in this poem, "wearing the same robe", "sharing the same jersey" and "wearing the same clothes as you" do not mean "wearing the same shirt and clothes". "Tong" here does not mean "the same thing", but "the same". Wearing the same shirt is more in line with the original intention of the battle song.

Later generations have other views on this poem. For example, many people think that this poem was written by Qin earlier when he resisted the invasion of dogs and Rong, and it is an anti-aggression war song. However, the author still insists that this poem was written in the period of Qin Aigong. After all, historical research pays attention to textual research. Since it is recorded in historical books such as Zuo Zhuan, it is better not to rock the boat.

"No Clothes" shows the national spirit of ancient people's unity against the enemy and heroic dedication. The national public holiday day is coming, and we should continue this spirit today.
