Wuxing District is located in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta, on the south bank of Taihu Lake, at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai provinces, with a total area of 87438+01951'-kloc-0/2022' and a latitude of 30 37'-30 57'. By the end of 2022 10, Wuxing District had jurisdiction over 13 streets, 5 towns and 1 towns.
Xing Wu was called Huzhou in ancient times, and Xing Wu County is located in the three countries, including today's Huzhou area, which means "prosperity of Wu". Water system hydrology in Wuxing district
The main water systems in Wuxing District are divided into Tiaoxi water system and eastern plain canal system. Tiaoxi River system includes East Tiaoxi, West Tiaoxi, Tailu Huancheng River, Moer Port and so on. After meeting at Baiquetang Bridge, it flows into Taihu Lake through Xiaomei Port and Changdou Port. The eastern plain water system is a part of the western water system of the Hangjiahu Plain Canal, with criss-crossing rivers, which is the channel for flood discharge and water diversion in the plain area.
The main rivers in the east-west direction are Qiantang, Beihengtang, Nanhengtang and the lower reaches of Muyukou Gate.
