Qiu Yidong, (1952——), a native of Wanyuan City, Sichuan Province, worked as an educated youth and a primary school teacher after graduating from junior high school, and now works in Bajin College of Literature of Sichuan Writers Association. He began to write for children and adolescents in the 1980s, and has published poems such as Five Branching Little Trees, Weeping Mushrooms, Go to the Far Mountain, Boys and Girls in China, Good Morning, Children of the Earth, Wings of Fish and Birds, and Westward Journey of PHS. Sichuan, editor-in-chief of a large number of middle school students' books such as Red Swing, Zifengling, Flower Season Series and Sunshine Growth Series, and also compiled the family education series Dream of Little Sun. His "Go to the Far Mountain" won the Third National Excellent Children's Literature Award, and some works such as Boys and Girls in China, Good Morning, Children of the Earth won the Bingxin Children's Book Award, Chen Bochui Children's Literature Award and PHS Westward Journey won the National Excellent Children's Book Award. Some works have been selected into multilingual textbooks.
