This sentence comes from Yu Ji's Song of River Cover and Summer in the Western Han Dynasty, which is a poem written by Yu Ji for overlord Xiang Yu. The whole poem expresses Yu Ji's loyalty to Xiang Yu and his farewell to life, vowing to live and die together, dedicating himself with a crystal clear affection, breaking Xiang Yu's affair, inspiring Xiang Yu's fighting spirit and hoping to break through successfully.

Yu Ji often goes out with Xiang Yu. In the late period of Chu-Han struggle, Xiang Yu tended to lose. In 202 BC, it was besieged by the Han army (now southeast of Lingbi County, Anhui Province), and the food was serenaded. Embattled at night, heartbroken.
Facing Yu Ji, I thought of drinking in the camp and sighed: "When I pulled out the mountain, I was angry with the world. When things are bad, I will not die. If I don't die, I can't do anything, and I will be afraid. " This song (known as "Gaixia Song" in history) is the song sung by Yu Ji. Xiang Yu and the soldiers around couldn't help crying.
During the struggle between Chu and Han, Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu, fought a four-year war with Liu Bang for the throne. Finally, Xiang Yu defeated Wujiang River and knew that the tide was gone. On the eve of the breakthrough, he had to say goodbye to Yuji and finally committed suicide.
