Hengshan Mountain, also known as Nanyue, Shouyue and Nanshan, is one of the "Five Mountains" in China. It is located in the southeast of central Hunan Province, China, between Hengyang and Xiangtan Basin. The main part is located in Nanyue District of Hengyang City, Hengshan County and the east of Hengyang County. The name of Mount Hengshan, according to the Warring States Period "Shi Gan Jing", is named because it is located on the wing of the evening star in the constellation of 28 nights, and looks like a weighing instrument, which can be called heaven and earth.

Zhurongfeng is the highest peak of Hengshan Mountain, and it is the peak to commemorate Zhurongshi, the ancestor of China humanities. "The height of Zhurong Peak" is the first of the "four wonders" of Nanyue scenery. Because of the dense clouds and overlapping peaks all the year round, it stands in the relatively low-lying southern Hunan basin, which is even more majestic. In the old saying, "Wish" means eternity, "Harmony" means light, and "Zhu Rong" means eternal light. Han Yu, a great writer in the Tang Dynasty, praised "Zhu Rong rose from the ground and disappeared in the smoke" in his poem Rong Feng, You Zhu. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Huang Tingjian wrote: "Zhu Rong built a fairy bridge in the purple sky where the road was poor. Look up at the blue sky and stars and overlook the red dust. " This is the best place to climb the peak, watch the sunrise, see the sea of clouds and enjoy the snow scene.

Tianzhu Peak is one of the 72 peaks of Hengshan Mountain, with an altitude of 106 1 m, located in Yanshou Village, Nanyue Town. Looking up at the peaks from the foot of the mountain, there is a mountain peak in front of you, with two peaks on it, such as two pillars inserted into the sky. Because the Qifeng is tall and straight, it looks like a column and has the feeling of supporting heaven and earth, so it is named Tianzhu Peak. "Nine Domains" says: "Three hundred and sixty mountains have eight pillars, and this is the sixth pillar." The octagonal pavilion with four doors on the second floor is built on the circular platform at the top of the mountain, 4 meters high and made of granite. This is a watchtower to observe the fire. The stone wall under the tower is engraved with the word "Southern Tianzhu" in regular script.

Yan Hui Peak is the first of 72 peaks in Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue, so it is called the first peak in Nanyue. It is 96.8 meters above sea level with a total area of 6.32 hectares. It is located on the bank of Xiangjiang River in Yanfeng District, Hengyang City. There are two legends about the name of the mountain peak. One said: the geese come from the south of the north, so they spend the winter here and come back in the warm spring next year; Second, the mountain looks like a swan, with its neck high and wings wide, ready to fly; Therefore, Hengyang, the ancient city, was named "Wild Goose City". The first peak in Nanyue has two meanings. First, geographically speaking, it is the first peak of Nanyue 72 from south to north, which is as famous as Zhu Rong, Tianzhu Peak and Yuelu Peak. Secondly, Nanyue's "incense culture" has a long history, and it has always been said that Nanyue began to worship incense from the first peak. Yanfeng Temple is an ancient temple with a history of 1500 years, which is located on the peak of Yan Hui. Monks of all ages have preached here. It is said that Shoufo once left a cassock in Yanfeng Temple, and there is a Shoufo Temple in the temple, which is an important evidence that South Vietnam is called Shouyue.

Shifeng, commonly known as Lei Wandi, or Daling. On the stone wall on the east side, there are two inclined peaks, which look like towering rice warehouses from below. Thus, the legend surrounding this function appeared. Some people say that these two stone peaks not only look like rice warehouses, but also have two doors. There is a stone statue by the door, and the one that is closed is obviously locked. Every rainy night, people at the foot of the mountain will hear the sound of closing the door These two doors, usually one is open and the other is closed. Whenever the warehouse doors are all closed, it indicates a bumper harvest; And when it is all open, it will bring famine. Some people say that there is not only grain but also honey in the stone warehouse. According to ancient records, there are many places of interest on the top of the mountain, such as Yuqing Temple, Chen Zhenren's alchemy platform, ghost-planted stone, Hong Lei, snowstorm, chanting altar, bathing in Danquan and so on.
