A landscape poem by Du Fu
The following two poems are two famous poems written by Du Fu when he crossed the Jialing River. They are all about the Jialing River! Baishadu (Jianzhou) dare not follow the Yangtze River, and the ferry is offshore. The boat on the poor pond wandered to Han Yun. Outside the cold wilderness, it is already halfway through the sunset. My Ma Si hissed north, and the apes called to each other. The water is clear and the stone is full, and the sand white beach is long. It is a complete mourning, a song of evacuation, a soft voice, a thick frost and slippery wood, and a cold hand and foot. I was worried when I got on the boat, but I was still worried. When you look out of the stagnant water, you will know that the stars are dry. Traveling far makes you thin and tired.
