The meaning of a bottle of wine with a bright moon and a cool breeze.

"There are three lanes of piano in the mountains, and a bottle of wine in the breeze in the bright moon" means that the piano is flowing in the mountains, and you are drinking with your confidants in the breeze in the bright moon. This poem is from Two Freehand Paintings by the Tang Dynasty poet Mou Rong.

Original text:

Lonely and desolate house is closed with idle doors, and the moss path is overcast with few marks. The white hair is crazy, the dust is broken, and the green carpet is falling.

the mountains are flowing with water, the piano is playing three tricks, and the moon and the breeze are drinking a bottle. Lying under the forest after drunkenness, there is no need to talk about honor and disgrace in this life.

Xiao Xiao's hair is full of health, and he is far-reaching and tired. I am fond of ghosts, but I have no desire for others. I feel sorry for know life, and I don't want glory.

If you are idle and lustful, you should ask Ma Qing if you are ill. The poor living in the forest are willing to be trapped, and the city is unknown.

Translation:

The lonely pub is closed, and there are no traces of moss on the path. When people get old, they have no wild heart, and the green carpet is still littered with wandering thoughts. The sound of the piano is flowing in the mountains, and I drink with my bosom friend under the bright moon and the breeze. When you are drunk, you will fall asleep under the tree, so there is no need to mention the glory and shame in this life.

The gray hair lives thinly on the head, and the remote poor house can no longer receive guests. I also secretly rejoice that I have lost my vulgar thoughts, making my mind calm and knowing that I will never be greedy for wealth and prosperity in my life.

whenever I want to write poetry, I think of Tao Yuanming. When I lie down sick, who would have thought that I had Sima Xiangru's literary talent? Living alone in the forest is willing to live in poverty, and giving all his knowledge without losing any reputation.

Extended information:

When Mou Rong wrote this poem, he was idle at home and in poor health, so he was depressed. At this time, he thought of Ruan Ji's "poverty", which was like "long illness", and sighed compared with his own situation, revealing his lonely and desolate situation.

Mou Rong is a forged poet in the Tang Dynasty. There is a volume of Mou Rong's poems in Volume 467 of Tang Poetry, but in fact this Mou Rong was forged by the Ming Dynasty, and there was no such person in Tang Dynasty.

Tao Min's article "The Falsification of Mourong Collection of All Tang Poems" points out that Mourong was unknown before the middle of the Ming Dynasty, and it began to appear in Zhu Jing's "Hundred Poems of the Tang Dynasty". The famous figures in the Tang Dynasty actually spanned several times, while another group of figures belonged to the Ming Dynasty. Then it is proved from geography and allusions that this collection was forged by the Ming Dynasty.

people live in a vast world, and it is inevitable to meet each other. But when we meet, there are all kinds of situations, either warm and lingering, or indifferent and plain as passers-by, or missed, and met each other late, all of which are due to personality.
