In order to speed up the development of tourism across the state, create an ecological tourism brand around the lake, enhance awareness of protecting the ecological environment, and establish a good trend of caring for fishery resources, it is hosted by the Qinghai Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and the Haibei Prefecture People’s Government. The 2011 Qinghai Lake Fish Watching and Release Festival organized by the Gangcha County People's Government, Haibei Prefecture Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, and Haibei Prefecture Tourism Bureau will be held in Gangcha County, a beautiful coastal Tibetan city on the plateau.
During the period, 6 days will be used to focus on the theme activities of Qinghai Lake folk sea worship activities, the opening ceremony of Qinghai Lake fish watching and releasing festival, the launching ceremony of fish watching and releasing activities, and mass cultural and sports activities. In two months, mass fish viewing and release activities were carried out intensively.
