Zhang Zhimin, poet. Born on May 21st, 1926. Wanping, Hebei (now Mentougou District, Beijing). He joined the Eighth Route Army in 1938 and worked as a teacher, instructor and instructor. In 194, he entered Kangda Senior Branch to study. In 1941, he joined the China Producer Party. In 1947, he participated in the rural land reform movement, and published long narrative poems "Wang Jiu complained" and "Can't die" in the Shanxi-Chaji Daily. Started publishing works in 1946. Joined the Chinese Writers Association in 1953.
He is the author of poetry anthology, I can't die, The General and His War Horse, Spring in My Hometown, Village Style, Silhouette on the Westbound, Grass in the South of the Yangtze River, Walking to the Kanto in July, Self-Appreciation Poems, Confessions of Dreams, The Sea, Heaven and the World, novel collections and scripts. The poem "The Mountain in the Border Region" won the China People's Liberation Army Literature Award in 1983, The Motherland, I Tell You won the first National Excellent New Poetry Award of the Chinese Writers Association, The Descendants Who Can't Die won the Beijing Literature Award in 1984, The Star Last Night won the Anti-Japanese War Literature Essay Poetry Award of the newspapers and periodicals affiliated to the Chinese Writers Association in 1996, and Today's Feelings won the Chinese Writers Association in 1983.
