Change [Shelley's Poetry]-Original Poetry
changeability
Percy Bysshe Shelley
We are like clouds that cover the midnight moon;
How anxiously they accelerate, flicker and quiver,
Radiant across the darkness! -Soon.
As night fell, they were lost forever:
Or like the forgotten lyre, with its discordant strings.
Give a different response to each different explosion,
No second action brought his fragile body.
A mood or change like last time.
We rest. Dreams have the power to poison sleep;
We rise. An erratic thought polluted the day;
We feel, conceive or reason, laugh or cry;
Embrace sadness, or abandon our worries:
It is the same! Because, whether happy or sad,
The road it left is still free:
Man's yesterday may never be like his tomorrow;
Nothing is eternal, only impermanence.
Change [Shelley's Poems]-Poetry Translation
Change-Shelley
We are like clouds covering the midnight moon,
Running, glowing, trembling,
Decorate the night with splendor,
But the night closed and the clouds disappeared forever.
Like a forgotten piano, out of tune strings.
As the wind blows, it makes all kinds of sounds;
You play it once on its aging body,
The tone is always different from last time.
We rest in peace, but dreams will ruin our sleep.
When we get up, a distracting thought will ruin the mood of the day;
We feel, imagine or think, laugh or cry,
Sometimes you are sad, and then you give up your worries:
It's all the same, because whether it's happiness or sadness,
Will not be detained for too long;
Yesterday is always different from tomorrow;
Nothing lasts long except change.
Change [Shelley's Poetry]-Poetry Appreciation
The famous saying in Shelley's poem Change "Nothing can last long except change." Be widely quoted. Since change is long-lasting, in order to grasp this change, people's thinking must be constantly innovated. So say: change eternity, innovate eternity! Since the world is unchangeable only by change, all fixed knowledge and truth are rigid, and the innovation of human thinking cannot be stopped.
