What are the fun places in Tibet?

1. Potala Palace. The Potala Palace is located on a hill about two kilometers away from the northwest suburb of Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region. In the hearts of local people who believe in Tibetan Buddhism, this hill is like Putuo Mountain where Guanyin Bodhisattva lives, so it is called Potala (meaning Putuo) in Tibetan.

3. Manasarovar. The natural scenery around it is very beautiful. Since ancient times, Buddhist believers and Bon believers have regarded it as the "center of the world" in the holy land. It is the freshwater lake with the most transparent water in China and one of the three "sacred lakes" called Zangfa. It is also the source of four major rivers in Asia. Manasarovar is located 35 kilometers east of Purang County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet and south of Mount Kailash.

Together with Drepung Monastery and Ganden Monastery, it is known as the three major monasteries in Lhasa. It is the latest one to be built among the three major monasteries. Sera Monastery is a national key cultural relic protection unit and is located at the foothills of Sera Uzi Mountain, 3 kilometers away from the northern suburbs of Lhasa.
