Reflections on Pushkin Monument

Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin is a great Russian poet.

His poems praised ideals, freedom, serfdom and sympathy for the working people, which had a great response at that time. The poet's short life and brilliant poetry creation have truly established the immortal monument of Russian realistic poetry.

The whole poem is based on direct lyric, which expresses the poet's thinking about his life and lofty ideal of devoting himself to the art of poetry. This poem was written under Russian dictatorship. The poet dared to despise the cruel ruler, showing the dauntless spirit of persistent pursuit of ideals, eulogizing truth, justice and people, and dedication. Therefore, to understand this "artificial", "towering" and "monument" is to use ideals.
