Liu Yukun (1976—), male, Chinese-American science fiction writer, is a programmer and lawyer by profession, and writes science fiction novels and poems in his spare time.

In April 2009, Liu Yukun published two novels, The Algorithm of Love and single-bit error, in Science Fiction World magazine. Since then, many of his science fiction novels have been published in China. In 20 12 and 20 13, Liu Yukun's works "Paper in Hand, Love in Heart" and "Sorrow for the Past" won Hugo Awards in succession.

Besides writing, Liu Yukun also devotes himself to the cultural exchange between China and the United States. His translated works of Chen Qiufan, Xia Jian and Ma Boyong have been published abroad. 20 15, translated the novel "Three-body" by science fiction writer Liu, and won the Hugo Award of 20 15 of the World Science Fiction Association for "Best Novel".

The life of the character

Liu Yukun immigrated to the United States from Lanzhou with his parents when he was 8 years old.

Liu Yukun majored in law at university, and now she works as a lawyer in Boston and writes science fiction in her spare time. In April 2009, Science Fiction World magazine published two novels by Liu Yukun, The Algorithm of Love and Unit Error. Among them, The Algorithm of Love is well received by readers. Since then, many of his science fiction novels have been published in China, and gradually become familiar to domestic science fiction fans.

In the past two years, Liu Yukun's creative speed and quality have reached a peak. In the past two years, he has published more than 20 short science fiction novels in major science fiction magazines. In May this year, he won the nebula award for best short story for this work. Hugo Award and Xingyun Award are called Nobel Prize and Oscar respectively in science fiction. Liu Yukun's "Documentary: The Man Who Ended History" was also nominated for this year's nebula award and Hugo award, but failed to win the prize.
