From: Diao Zhang Ji Han Yu in Tang Dynasty
Du Li's articles are in full swing.
I don't know, stupid, so it's slander.
Translation:
The coexistence of Li Bai's and Du Fu's poems is like a radiant light shining on the poetry circle.
But I don't know that frivolous literati are ignorant. How can we vilify them by always slandering and resigning?
The poem "Extended Information" was written in the 10th year (8 15) or 11th year (8 16) of Tang Xianzong. At that time, Li Bai and Du Fu were not universally respected. Before Han Yu, Li Bai was above Du Fu; In the Han Yu period, some people respected Du and suppressed Li. Han Yu strongly promoted Du Li because of this poem.
In the middle Tang Dynasty, when Wang, Meng Heyuan and Bai's poetic style prevailed, the poetic achievements of Li Bai and Du Fu were often ignored or even belittled by some people. In this poem, Han Yu enthusiastically praised the poems of Li Bai and Du Fu, showing a high degree of admiration. In the evaluation of Li and Du's poems, Han Yu is far superior to his contemporaries.
In this poem, the author uses rich imagination, exaggeration and metaphor. It not only shaped the artistic images of Li Bai and Du Fu and their poems, but also shaped the artistic images of the author and his poems, vividly expressing the poet's profound views on poetry, which is exactly what this poem is worth cherishing ideologically and artistically.
