Four different types of poetry forms

According to genre, ancient poetry can be divided into ancient poetry and modern poetry.

Classical poetry is ancient free poetry. There is no limit to the length of a poem, which can be long or short. Sentence patterns can also be uneven in length, without paying attention to leveling, antithesis or even rhyming.

Modern poetry is also called modern poetry, that is, metrical poetry that appeared in Sui and Tang Dynasties, and its metrical requirements are very strict. For example, quatrains in metrical poems are modern poems. Rhyme requires eight sentences, divided into four parts, and the two sentences are connected together; The last word of each couplet rhymes with two antitheses in the middle; Moreover, the upper and lower sentences of each couplet are even and relative. The quatrains must be four sentences, and the phonological requirements are very strict.
