Many advertisements do use attractive models or celebrities to lure consumers to buy the products being promoted. Who doesn't want to look like those beautiful models who enjoy the product? Who doesn't want to be Michael Jordan or tiger woods? To some extent, buying products to imitate the characters in advertisements can make a person feel better about himself. But this type of advertisement may be a double-edged sword-when the product can't make people "like" the people in the advertisement, people may be disappointed and disillusioned with the product.
