A Review of Yu Yan's Works

Ye Yanbin, Vice President of Chinese Poetry Society and former editor-in-chief of Poetry Journal: Yu Yan's landscape poems have the characteristics of Zhejiang poetry. Judging from a series of landscape poems by Yu Yan, we can see that he has been infiltrated by Zhejiang culture and has a literati feeling, which shows his literary accomplishment and the influence of Zhejiang culture on him. Nowadays, writing landscapes has made Yu Yan recognized by the poetry circle. Yu Yan formed his own style on the basis of inheriting the tradition and absorbing Zhejiang culture, and at the same time found some new possible development space for himself, and found a modern breakthrough in the old landscape poems.

Wu Sijing, Vice President of Chinese Poetry Society and Professor of Capital Normal University: Yu Yan's landscape poems are very distinctive, which not only describe the beauty of mountains and rivers, but also integrate himself into them, showing his temperament and personality, and realizing the perfect integration of objective scenery and subjective feelings.

Liang Ping, Vice Chairman of Sichuan Writers Association and Editor-in-Chief of Star Poetry magazine: Yu Yan's poems have their own characteristics and are commendable. This trait is due to the poet's own clear sense of direction, not drifting with the tide, not confusing, and his writing is firm and imaginative. The landscapes, plants and the world in his works can all hear breathing and the flow of blood, all of which are warm and cold. Therefore, in his poems, regardless of enlightenment, self-cultivation and cultivation, we can all read a simple and open mind. It can be said that Yu Yan undoubtedly has a high degree of discrimination in the group writing of post-80s poets.

Yu Cong, Vice Chairman of Hebei Writers Association, Editor-in-Chief of Selected Poems and winner of Lu Xun Literature Prize: In Yu Yan's landscape poems, those descriptions of natural scenery penetrated into personal humanistic thinking, and his accurate grasp of certain scenes and feelings in life made his poems exude a unique "Yu Yan style" atmosphere.

Huo, a researcher, doctor of literature and poetry critic in the creative research department of the Chinese Writers Association: Yu Yan's poems are basically lyrical short chapters, but they contain enough emotional breadth and depth. There is no lack of meditation in his poems, as well as the temperature of soul meditation and the intensity of questioning in daily life scenes. In her poems, Yu Yan completed the connection and mutual appearance of individuality, rhetoric, temporality and sense of history.

Tang, the tutor and poet of the 29th Youth Poetry Society of Poetry Publishing House, said: Our landscape poems can be read as long poems. Looking at nature and cherishing mountains and rivers, you don't need to think intelligently about the rules and order of the world. This is a poet's kindness, and it is also the best mentality for a poet to let go of himself and let his poems appear. This group of ancient Chinese characters, with restrained writing and detached feelings, is a rare masterpiece that has really suppressed the landscape for many years. It reads like hot wine in front of a stove on a cold night, with a heart sutra in its hand.

Ke Ping, a national first-class writer and director of the Poetry Creation Committee of Zhejiang Writers Association, said: In Yu Yan, we can't see the arrogance that poets tend to show in the internet age. This just confirms the old saying that poetry is like a man, because his works are as introverted and peaceful as his appearance. The main focus of Yu Yan's poetry is to care for and reflect on his inner world. His poems are good at creating poetic harmony as a whole. With its pure posture, gorgeous rhetoric, gentle and somewhat sad tone, it reminds people of He Qifang in the era of prophecy, or Bing Xin who drifted at sea on his father's warship in his early years.

Zhang Deming, director of the Southern Poetry Research Center, doctor of literature and poet critic: It is a unique aesthetic dimension of Yu Yan's poetry to express feelings for mountains and rivers, and it also represents some artistic pursuits of post-80s poets with poetic value since the new century. Yu Yan's poems are generally short, but full of charm and interest. Poets can often cut into mountains and rivers from a unique perspective, extract neglected external feelings and internal spirit from the scenery and describe them in detail, and reveal the poet's self-hidden heart and elegant feelings with the help of a special lyric channel.

Cao Xia, a professor at Nankai University and a literary critic, said: Yu Yan's poems not only present the local scenery, but also have a quaint feeling of traditional literati. He interpreted this ancient meaning handsomely and long with slow rhythm and melancholy expression.

Zhao: As a young poet born in 1986, it is really surprising that Yu Yan revived ancient poetry with the charm of landscape poetry, trying to activate a traditional poetry theme ... The significance of Yu Yan's landscape poetry lies in its increasing materialism and utilitarianism. His significance also lies in the great tension between landscape poetry and realistic context.

Emperor Wen of Sui, a poet and the winner of the 6th Poet of the Year Award for Chinese Literature and Media: Yu Yan's landscape poems have a strong belief in communicating with the ancients and nature, and that's all, even though he is different from other contemporary poets.

Why, editor and poet of October magazine: Yu Yan was born in 1980s, but his poems are like an old monk. Seeing mountains is mountains and water is water, which is mature and calm that does not match his age. He is so quiet. And it is precisely because of this silence that I got a glimpse of the slowness of the world and became more real.

Ma Xu, poet and director of the Prose Creation Committee of Zhejiang Writers Association: Yu Yan's landscape poems have a homesickness. In the face of mountains and rivers, the poet not only praised, but also felt deep awe and guilt. Yu Yan did it. At the same time, we can see that he reflects himself from the mountains and rivers, thus gaining the personality enlightenment in the depths of the mountains and rivers-the mountains and rivers are himself.

Poet Nan Li, winner of the first Chu Wang Ji Prize for Literature: In Yu Yan's landscape poems, I saw the delicacy of Jiangnan poets. Yu Yan gave poetry to rocks and trees and lived in seclusion in nature, lamenting the shortness and helplessness of life. Yu Yan's poems can never be simple, but they are fresh and simple. Yu Yan followed the traditional lyric skills (that is, the small tradition of new poetry) and aesthetic stereotypes. Just like the title of poetry collection-landscape poetry, it is amazing that landscape poetry has been written to this extent.

Moriko, a poet and poet critic: It is very good for Yu Yan to write these poems immersed in mountains and rivers. It is a rare dialogue and exchange between poets and nature. Of course, it is more of a monologue of the soul, which is also a good way for poetry to support itself ... These ancient people set an example, and later poets should not only inherit, but also reflect on themselves-I am similar to the ancient people, but also different. More importantly, it is contemporary and meaningful to write landscape poems, that is, I am different from what I know, and I tend to be the same as what I don't know. In this way, the new landscape poetry will have a broader road. The poet Yu Yan's landscape poems made a new attempt in this dimension. I wish him to go further, like the white clouds in Baiyun Mountain and the endless Oujiang River. Starting from the specific regionality, we can get a unique world with rich perception.

Li Tang, a poet and senior editor of Poetry Magazine, said: Yu Yan's poetry shows a kind of slowness. Because of the slowness of this meditation, things appear more clearly and carefully. It is precisely because of this slowness that he lost a youthful agitation and gained more silence. Less superficial and more calm.

Xiong Yan, a poet and senior editor of Star Poetry: Yu Yan is still very young, but she has a cold mentality and a nostalgic complex. His landscape poems reflect a precocious wisdom, a deep life experience and a broad-minded life perception that is extremely inconsistent with his actual age.

Fu Zhe, a poet and winner of the third annual China Poetry Breakthrough Award: As a post-80s generation, Yu Yan was a person who squatted down and approached the vegetation. Sometimes he is close to the vegetation, and sometimes he seems to have entered the vegetation itself. He thinks about life from the perspective of a plant and expresses his heart.
