When is the 70th anniversary of the National People's Congress?

In 2024. Official website of the National People's Congress shows that 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the National People's Congress. The first National People's Congress opened in September 1954. The editorial of People's Daily in September 1954 pointed out: Because of its broad representation, anything discussed and decided at this Congress will fully express the will of the people of the whole country and take due care of the historical characteristics of different regions and nationalities. This will enable our National People's Congress and all other state organs to unite the people of the whole country more extensively and firmly and successfully accomplish the great cause of building a socialist society.
