A Brief Introduction to Wuthering Heights in English

Author: Emily Jane Bronte? (pronunciation/? br? Nti/ or/? br? nte? /) [1] (July 30th18191February 1848) is an English novelist and poet, and now she is famous for her novel Wuthering Heights. Emily is the second oldest of the three surviving Bronte sisters? Sister between Charlotte and Anne. She published her work under the androgynous pseudonym Ellis Bell.

Introduction to the story:

This is a story about love and revenge. Heathcliff was adopted by Mr earnshaw in Livepool street. He lives with Mr Earnshaw's son Hindley and his daughter Cathy. Gendre hates Heathcliff, but his sister likes Heathcliff. After Earnshaw's death, Gendre became the master of the family. He regarded Heathcliff as a farmer and insulted him. Meanwhile, Kathy and Heathcliff love each other. Linton, the son of Thrushcross Grange, courted Kathy and often went to see her. Cathy made up her mind to marry him. Heathcliff was very angry and went out. Heathcliff came back with a lot of money. He cheated Hindley of his property by gambling. He did all these things for revenge. He married Linton's sister Isabella. Cathy died after giving birth to little Catherine. Isabella recognized Heathcliff and left him. She gave birth to little Linton and died. Heathcliff caught little Linton and pestered him to love little Catherine. Heathcliff kidnapped little Catherine and forced her to marry his son. After that, he annexed all the property of Linton and completed his revenge. Meanwhile, Heathcliff is pestered by Kathy. He stays in his room all day, neither eating nor sleeping. Finally, he died in depression and delirium.
