Here "longevity" and "young and strong" are better than; "Not giving it back" corresponds to "joining the army". This is different from the first two sentences of the Tenth Five-year Conscription written by Han Yuefu. Similarly, the two veterans in these two poems joined the army when they were young. The poet first described the hometown of veterans as far away from where they went to join the army, highlighting one. The sentence "dying" boils down to the nostalgia for his wife from the veteran homesickness written above. What is written here is that the veteran imagines that he will die in Humaji, that is, where he went from the army and why, but readers can infer that there are two reasons: one is old age and the other is death. On the one hand, the veteran "will die in Humaji", on the other hand.
So the conclusion of the poem is straightforward: "What do men want in a rough life? Worry and destroy, and suppress a sigh. " Encourage worry, continue worry, suppress worry.
