This bridge witnessed the opening of the Middle East Railway, the rapid development of Harbin from several villages and towns into an important city in the Far East as a cultural and economic center, and the urban history of Harbin in the late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China, the Japanese Puppet and the New China. There are not only passengers and goods passing through the bridge in Harbin, but also troops of Russia, the Allies and the Japanese invaders, immigrants from various countries in the early days of the Middle East Railway, and a large number of Russian immigrants during the October Revolution. It was also the early leaders of China who embarked on the red journey to the "Red Capital" from here.
This bridge is a historical testimony of Russian aggression and enslavement of my compatriots in Northeast China.
