When it comes to tourism in Israel, we should pay attention to the itinerary on the Sabbath.
Sabbath is one of the main festivals in Judaism. The word Sabbath comes from Akkadian, which means "seven", and Hebrew means "rest" and "stop working". The seventh day of the week in the Jewish calendar (sunset every Friday to Saturday). Jews keep the Sabbath day holy and are not allowed to work. On the Sabbath, Jewish scenic spots and shops are closed, which is basically an empty city.
The Sabbath I met was from sunset on Friday, October 25th, 20061Saturday, October 26th, 20 1 165438.
At that time, my hotel was near the station of Jerusalem New Town, surrounded by cars, buses and light rail. People are constantly flowing on weekdays, and as the Sabbath approaches, everything becomes quiet.

The photo above is a small video taken by myself, probably before 4 pm local time on Friday. Before sunset, the traffic crowd downstairs suddenly dispersed, and the light rail car stopped quietly on the track. Everything was quiet, leaving only the afterglow of the sunset reflected on the cable-stayed bridge.
What a beautiful painting,
I stood quietly by the window of the room, watching the sunset fall bit by bit, watching the color of the sky change gradually, from red, orange, grayish yellow to the afterglow of the sunset, and slowly, the night came bit by bit.

Sabbath is a traditional Jewish family day. On the Sabbath, Jews don't work, do business, shop, travel, cook, write, turn off lights, press buttons, answer phones, and so on. They are not allowed to take money or anything, nor are they allowed to go to the synagogue by bus or other public transportation. But they can hire non-Jews to do these jobs.
This is my food, fruit and water for more than 20 hours, which I bought from the supermarket in advance:
On Saturday morning, it was still quiet downstairs. There are tourists walking in twos and threes, Jews going to synagogue, and several taxis waiting there, but there is no public transportation at all.

After 4 o'clock, the sun went down, the downstairs was still quiet, and the Jewish Sabbath passed quietly.
At about 6 pm, the downstairs suddenly became active, the car moved, people came out, and the store opened:
