Song Zhiwen

Song Zhiwen, whose courtesy name was Yanqing, was also named Shaolian. He was a native of Hongnong, Guozhou (now Lingbao, Henan Province), and one said he was a native of Fenzhou (now Fenyang, Shanxi Province). A famous poet in the Tang Dynasty.

Weak crown is famous. In the second year of Shangyuan of Tang Dynasty (675), he passed the Jinshi title. He successively served as Luozhou Jianjun, Shangfang Jiancheng, and Zuofengchen Neishi. Wu Zetian then attached himself to Zhang Yizhi, and was demoted to Longzhou to join the army. Soon he was promoted to Honglucheng, and he was promoted to the imperial examination worker Wailang and a bachelor of Xiuwenguan. He also flattered Princess Taiping. Because he was corrupt and bribed during the tribute ceremony, he was demoted to the governor of Yue. Ruizhong ascended the throne and was exiled to Qinzhou (now Qin County, Guangdong Province), where he died immediately.
