Appreciation of Li Qingzhao's poem "Ru Meng Ling"

"Like a Dream" expresses the taste and mood of her early life in Li Qingzhao's unique way. The realm is beautiful and pleasant, and the short size gives people enough enjoyment of beauty. The following is my appreciation of Li Qingzhao's poem "Ru Meng Ling", I hope it will be helpful to you.

"Like a Dream"

It rained and the wind blew violently last night,

The remaining wine cannot be consumed by heavy sleep.

I asked the person behind the curtain,

But the road to Begonia remained the same.

Do you know? Do you know?

It should be green, red and thin.

Creation background

This is a poem recalling the past and was not written at that time and place. Li Qingzhao came to Bianjing before she was eighteen years old. When she was twenty-four, her uncle Zhao Tingzhi was dismissed as prime minister. Soon she followed her husband Zhao Mingcheng and "lived in the countryside for ten years" and left the capital for Qingzhou, where she also left the place where she had written poems. Chao Buzhi, Zhang Lei and others were the predecessors of Sing He Zhiyi.

Zhao Mingcheng is an epigrapher. In the early years of his "screening", Li Qingzhao's creation flourished, and he once transferred to collecting, sorting, and collating epigraphic books with his husband.

Therefore, this poem was written by the author when he was living in Bianjing before and after his marriage, recalling the past events in his hometown. That is, the poet was written between the ages of sixteen or seventeen to twenty-three or fourteen years old. A careful review of the author's work shows that this poem can be roughly dated to when she was sixteen years old (1099, the second year of Zhe Zong Yuanfu in the Song Dynasty), not long after she came to Bianjing, and this poem should also be her first work.

Brief analysis

This article is one of Li Qingzhao’s early lyrics. The words fully reflect the author's love for nature and spring. This is a small order, and the content is very simple. It is written that nature experienced a storm on a spring night. The poet had a premonition that the flowers and trees in the garden must be lush with green leaves and withered. Therefore, the next morning she eagerly asked the curtain roller about the changes outside, but the careless curtain roller replied that Begonia remained the same. In this regard, the poet couldn't help but use two "knowledge" and "should" to correct the carelessness of his observation and the error of his answer. The sentence "green, fat, red, thin" vividly reflects the author's regret for the passing of spring.

The writing style of the words is unique, focusing on shaping the image and forming the artistic conception from the auditory aspect. The author does not describe the scene of late spring with withering flowers in a straightforward manner, but starts from last night after waking up in the morning. Through the rain and wind, he develops auditory associations and then transforms them into visual images: green, fat, red and thin. It is worth pointing out that the four words "green, fat, red, thin" are just words from the author's inner virtual imagination, and there is a process of transformation into objective reality. Precisely because this poem has a transformation process from hearing to vision, and from inner heart to objective reality, it can leave readers with a broad imagination space to facilitate artistic re-creation. This is the reason why this poem is so fascinating.

Secondly, emotional contrast is provided through questions and answers. This writing method not only makes the language concise and vivid, but also makes the structure extremely compact, giving readers a real sense of hearing his voice and seeing his person. The identity, personality, upbringing and emotional nuances of the characters are also vividly visible, making the words lively and lively. One sentence, however, describes the roughness of observation and the indifference of emotion of the man who rolled up the curtain. It just sets off the delicateness of the author's perception and the profoundness of his emotions. Without this kind of delicate observation and profound emotion, it would be impossible to write good works.

Once again, the use of personification is successful. In the poem, the words "fat" and "thin", which were originally used to describe people, are borrowed to describe the lush green leaves and the scarcity of red flowers, suggesting the gradual disappearance of spring. This sentence is extremely creative both in the refinement of language and the use of rhetorical techniques.

As mentioned before, this poem is very short, only thirty-three words in total, but it can reflect the author's rich inner world through an extremely ordinary detail in life, and the language is plain and simple. , the artistic conception is implicit and profound, with overtones and taste. Huang Liaoweng said in "Selected Poems of Polygonum Garden": A very affectionate question was asked, and the answer was "still the same". The answer was very indifferent, and he fell into the sentence "Do you know?" And "Green, Fat, Red and Thin" is infinitely sad, yet wonderfully subtle. There are countless twists and turns hidden in the short page, which is certainly a saint to the poet. This comment helps us understand this poem.
