There are many poets in the Southern Song Dynasty: Xin Qiji, Lu You, Yang Wanli, Yue Fei and Wen Tianxiang.
1. Xin Qiji
Xin Qiji (1140-1207), a lyricist and poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, was originally named Tanfu, changed to You'an, also known as Jiaxuan, Han nationality, Licheng ( Jinan, Shandong Province). When he was born, the Central Plains was occupied by Jin soldiers. At the age of 21, he joined the anti-Jin rebel army and soon returned to the Southern Song Dynasty. He has successively served as the pacifier of Hubei, Jiangxi, Hunan, Fujian, and eastern Zhejiang. He devoted his life to resisting gold. He once published "Ten Comments on Meiqin" and "Nine Discussions" to lay out strategies for war and defense.
2. Lu You
Lu You (1125-1210), with the courtesy name Wu Guan and the nickname Fang Weng. Han nationality, native of Shanyin, Yuezhou (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang), and a famous poet in the Southern Song Dynasty. When he was young, he was influenced by his family's patriotism. During the reign of Emperor Gaozong, he took the examination of the Ministry of Rites and was deposed by Qin Hui. During the reign of Emperor Xiaozong, he was granted a Jinshi background.
He entered Shu in his middle age and devoted himself to military life. He was waiting to be appointed to the Baozhang Pavilion. In his later years, he retired to his hometown. There are more than 9,000 poems in existence today, and they are extremely rich in content. He is the author of "Jiannan Poetry Manuscript", "Weinan Collected Works", "Southern Tang Book", "Laoxue'an Notes", etc.
3. Yang Wanli
Yang Wanli, courtesy name Tingxiu, nickname Chengzhai, male, Han nationality. A native of Jishui, Jizhou (now Jishui County, Jiangxi Province). He was an outstanding poet in the Southern Song Dynasty. Together with You Miao, Fan Chengda and Lu You, he was known as the "Four Great Zhongxing Poets" and "The Four Great Masters of the Southern Song Dynasty" in the Southern Song Dynasty.
4. Yue Fei
Yue Fei (1103-1142), courtesy name Pengju, was born in Xiaotili, Yonghe Township, Tangyin County, Xiangzhou City, Song Dynasty (now Chenggang Village, Tangyin County, Anyang City, Henan Province) , a famous military strategist, strategist, and national hero in Chinese history, ranking first among the four ZTE generals in the Southern Song Dynasty.
5. Wen Tianxiang
Wen Tianxiang (1236.6.6-1283.1.9), also named Lushan and Songrui, named himself Wenshan and was a Taoist in Fuxiu. Han nationality, native of Luling, Jizhou (now Ji'an County, Jiangxi Province), minister, writer and national hero in the late Southern Song Dynasty. In the fourth year of Baoyou's reign (1256), he became a Jinshi and became the Prime Minister and Privy Envoy. He was sent to the Yuan army's camp to negotiate and was detained. After escaping the danger, he passed through Jizhuang, Gaoyou, to Tangwan, Tai County, and returned south from Nantong, persisting in resisting the Yuan Dynasty.
