Nishikawa's most famous poem

Nishikawa's most famous poem: Looking at the starry sky in Hargil.

Starry Sky in Hargil is a modern poem written by Nishikawa, a contemporary poet in China. This poem can be divided into three levels. The first level is the first five sentences, which describe an understanding of nature and highlight the position of a powerful and "uncontrollable" mysterious force; On the second floor, from "Just like tonight, in Hargil" to the penultimate sentence "Stepped into an altar by hundreds of millions of feet of stars".

In this part, the poet objectively describes his living environment, showing a sense of solidification of time and emptiness of space; The third layer is the last two sentences, which draw the perspective back to the theme from the description of objective things, and describe it through communion, children, amplifying courage and holding your breath.

It shows the piety of "I" immersed in it and the pious state of being conquered by magnificent natural scenery. In this situation, poetry is not only poetry, but also a religion that soothes the soul and promotes everything. Poetry is clear in language, fluent in narration and profound in emotion.

This poem was written in 1985, westbound in Xichuan, passing a small railway station near Qinghai Lake-Birgai (marked as Birgai on the map). He occasionally looked up at the starry sky, and suddenly felt a mysterious power overflow from his heart, and a religious emotional experience surged in his body. This poem was born on this basis.

Appreciation of works:

Italian writer Calvino has expounded the question of "what is a classic" from fourteen aspects, two of which are extremely accurate, namely, "a classic is a book that seems to be revisited even if we read it for the first time"; Classic works are books that bring discovery every time you reread them, just like reading them for the first time.

The contemporary poet Nishikawa's work "Looking at the Starry Sky in Hargil" is a new poetry classic which is very suitable for the above two. When I first saw it, I felt deja vu. The relationship between belief and life in poetry can be associated with many well-known literary classics at home and abroad. And every time I read this poem, it seems to be the first time I read it, and I have new discoveries and feelings.
