Association from "sympathy for farmers" to "silkworm girl"

Today, I learned the poem "Caring Farmers" by Li Shen, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. First, I let the children read the poem by themselves, and then I met the author Li Shen. Then understand the meaning of the first two words against the courseware and then understand the meaning of the first two sentences. Next, understand the meaning of the last two words and the meaning of the last two sentences.

Next, I asked the children, "Why do farmers starve to death when there are no idle fields in the four seas?" Everybody think about it and answer me. Li Jixiang said: "Because its food has been taken away by the government." Liu Jiachen said: "Because the government wants to levy exorbitant taxes, the farmers' food is given to the government." "Students, all express their opinions.

I also guide students to experience the feelings of this poem. When the author wrote this poem by Li Shen, what did he want to tell us and express? Some students said, "I want to express my sympathy for farmers." Some students said, "I am indignant at the unreasonable social system." In this way, unconsciously, the students deepened their understanding of this poem.

Then it unfolded and told the students about Zhang Yu's poem "Silkworm Girl": "I went to town yesterday and came back with tears. Luo Weigai is not a silkworm farmer. " This poem is similar to Compassion for Peasants. Silkworm women are sad because they feel the unreasonable social reality of getting something for nothing and getting something for nothing. The reason why Silkworm Girl cried bitterly was because she saw that all the people wearing silk clothes in the city were rich and powerful. Working people like her can't put on beautiful silk clothes even if they have kept silkworms all their lives.

Farmers grow food but starve to death, but silkworm farmers have never worn silk clothes all their lives. These two poems reflect the misery of working people's lives, express the poet's sympathy for farmers and sericulture women, resentment against the exploiting classes who get nothing for nothing, and blame and lash at the whole feudal society.

Today's study of this poem, from "Compassion for Farmers" to "Silkworm Girl", has deepened students' understanding of the text and achieved good results.
