Explanation of nouns: Li Sao
Li Sao is a poem written by Qu Yuan, a poet of Chu State in the Warring States Period. This poem takes the conflict between ideal and reality as the main line, takes the contrast between flowers, birds, fish and insects and the fantasy and psychedelic "looking for women" as the symbol, and unfolds alternately with the emotional agitation in autobiographical memories and the fantasy of coming and going like the wind. The work expresses concern about the fate of Chu and people's life, "lamenting the hardships of people's life" and lamenting the power of traitors. He advocated "endowing talents by cultivating talents" and "following the rope without being equal", and put forward that "God is selfless" to criticize the theory of destiny. A large number of metaphors and rich imaginations in poetry show the positive romantic spirit, and create a poetic form of "Sao Style" in China literature, which has a far-reaching impact on later generations.
