Who was I before I was born? Who am I after I was born? I will be when I grow up! Who is sleepy? Where have you been? Who are we in the universe?

This poem written by the emperor shunzhi in Qing Dynasty gives people a sense of fear. What are you afraid of? Afraid that after we die, if there is no afterlife world-or nothing, wouldn't it be terrible!

But whether we are afraid or not, willing or unwilling, in the end, you will usher in a tomorrow without you like any ancient people. Where have you been? Who are we in the universe?

We are made of atoms, which is very practical and very certain. Atoms consist of protons, neutrons, electrons and photons. So, you are actually made up of "protons, neutrons, electrons and photons".

So is it strange to find out what you are made of? Yes, it is very, very strange to find this. Where is the strangeness? Strangely, these "children" all have one characteristic, which has transcended time and space. Therefore, the so-called "golden vessels, vessels are gold" is because of this characteristic in "sex" (corresponding to "phase" in Buddhism) that you can transcend the limitations of time and space. In essence, you can go to any space (such as a galaxy) or any time (10,000 years ago) with one thought.

This is indeed an absurd idea, but now it is not an "idea" in the minds of scientists, but the result of experiments. Next, we begin to understand this characteristic-the characteristics of waves. For anyone, a deep understanding of it is wonderful and pleasant.

The first section, what is a wave?

Simply put, waves are not real things like stones, but moving things-that is, up and down, or back and forth. So how many ways (shapes) do waves have?

One-dimensional wave

You take a 5-meter-long rope and tie one end to the door handle. Then you stand 4 meters away from the door and shake the rope hard. You will see a wave moving rapidly from one end of the rope to the other. This is the fluctuation of the rope. If we ask, what is the wave of the rope? The answer is that the fluctuation of the rope is just a situation in which the rope moves up and down in the "original place". The movement process of rope wave is the process of this "up and down movement" from one end to the other.

Because the wave of the rope can only move in a single direction of the rope, we call this wave one-dimensional "wave". So what exactly is the fluctuation of the rope? Quite simply, the fluctuation of the rope is nothing, it is just a moving "gesture", and the gesture is not a hard thing, but a process (just as you can't say that the "hand-raising process" is a thing).

Which waves are one-dimensional? Dominoes are falling. When the domino wave moves, the dominoes themselves do not move back and forth, but move in the state of dominoes falling down.

One-dimensional waves can only continue to move in one direction. For example, rope waves move from one end of a rope to the other. If you want to ask where Bo is on the rope? There is no answer to this question. Because "rope wave" once existed on the rope, it is no longer there.

Two-dimensional wave

Throw a stone in the middle of the pond and you will see the waves spread around. At this time, the wave is no longer a one-dimensional wave moving in one direction like a rope, but a wave that spreads around at a 360-degree angle on the horizontal plane. Because it is horizontal transmission, this wave is two-dimensional.

If you ask where the water waves are, the answer is that the water waves were anywhere in the pond when they expanded from a small circle to a big circle, so the water waves are everywhere.

During the outward movement of water waves, water molecules do not move far away, but only move up and down.

If you ask: What are water waves? A: Water waves are nothing. Water waves are just a situation in which water molecules move up and down in the "original place". Situation is not a thing, but a process.

For example, rope wave, the rope can be cotton rope or wire rope. Wave has nothing to do with the "medium" that carries it. For another example, water waves can be carried by water or soybean oil or gasoline. So again, wave is not a real substance like a stone, it is just a "gesture" of any material movement. When the gesture moves, it is a wave.

Now we can see that this situation is divided into two types: one-dimensional wave. Two-dimensional wave is there a third situation, that is, three-dimensional wave?

Three-dimensional wave

Imagine lighting a Grenade in the center of a cube pool with a length, width and height of 50 meters. Therefore, you will see a bubble the size of a watermelon expanding in the form of spherical waves. Just as water waves will eventually spread to the whole lake, this spherical water wave will also spread to the whole three-dimensional pool in three-dimensional form. This expansion is like a balloon gradually expanding (note: it expands waves, not bubbles).

This wave is no longer a one-dimensional rope wave or a two-dimensional plane wave, but a three-dimensional spherical wave. So, what other waves are spherical waves?

On the stage of the concert square, a drummer suddenly struck the drum violently, so that anyone in the square, including the residents in the tall buildings around the square, would hear the drum. This shows that the sound is a spherical wave. Otherwise, if the sound wave is like a rope, only one person will hear it; If it is a plane wave, only people with a square plane can hear it. Because it is a spherical wave, people in tall buildings can also hear it. In fact, any sound is a spherical wave. For example, every word you say can be heard from all directions, back and forth, up and down. So water waves and sound waves are spherical waves.

The second light is spherical wave.

So how many dimensions does light wave have? Answer: Light is a spherical wave. Many people draw light waves as one-dimensional rope waves or two-dimensional plane waves in some popular science books for easy understanding, and think that light waves are like this, which is a wrong understanding. The actual light wave is a spherical wave.

Now, one of the most critical and incomprehensible questions has emerged: the fluctuation of the rope is the up-and-down movement of the rope, the water wave is the up-and-down movement of water molecules, the sound wave is the back-and-forth movement of air molecules, and the light wave is the "what" up-and-down movement.

In order to find out what "light wave" is and explain that "light" is a kind of wave, world scientists (Descartes, Newton, etc. ) before 120 has been brewing in their brains 100 years finally imagined that there is something in space that people can't perceive-ether. Just as sound waves are air waves, light waves are etheric waves. If the ether does exist, then the argument that light is a wave is completely correct.

However, an accident happened. 1884, when Michelson and Morey, two scientists obsessed with ether theory, spent several years measuring the relative speed between the earth and the ether, they found a result that they didn't even want to believe: there was no ether in the universe. This is really an explosive news. If the ether does not exist, according to common sense logic, light can't be a wave. If so, most physical science theories will collapse-this is definitely a disaster for the scientific community. So who finally determined that light is a wave?

1807, scientist Thomas? Yang did a very simple and classic experiment: the double-slit experiment. This experiment made people all over the world fully believe that light is a wave. So can you do this experiment, too? Sure! And it's very simple, as follows:

A candle is used to illuminate a slit in one board, and then the light from this slit passes through two parallel slits in the second board and finally projects onto the third board. At this time, light and dark stripes will appear on the third board. The explanation of this experiment is as follows: if light is particles, there will be no "interference fringes" on the three plates; And if the light is a wave, it will show "interference fringes" on the three boards like water waves in a pond. This experiment is very simple, but it strongly proves that "light" is a wave.

Note that the most crucial conclusion has emerged: a very certain fact is that you must admit that "light" is a wave anyway. There must be a medium for the movement of waves, but there is no ether in the universe. So light, that is, electromagnetic field, is a wave without medium. Speaking of physical examination, it is impossible for people to measure the position and momentum of an object infinitely accurately. Maybe you will think, is there anything too? 100 years later, many people's efforts have completely proved that there is nothing too "too", just waves without media.

Non-scientists will not feel strange when they hear this sentence, but if you put it another way, you will understand how ridiculous it is.

For example, Heisenberg, a scientist who has made great contributions to quantum mechanics, said with chagrin: "Space is blue, and birds fly in it" (logically, space cannot be given color). If you still don't understand this sentence, how reluctant will you be to accept and discuss whether Friday is a cube or a rectangle, or how many kilograms of fear and joy weigh, and how weird will you feel? This is "illogical".

Let's use another phenomenon to illustrate this strangeness: a person was suddenly slapped, but he couldn't see the hand that hit him. It's not that you can't see his hand, but that there is no "hand" at all, just a "process of cutting your hand and the effect of punching your face to make you fat." It's like seeing a word "Wen" slowly reflected on a piece of paper, but I can't see who wrote it. Of course, it is not that the writer is invisible, but that no one writes at all. This is the best example of making something out of nothing.

This is also the illogical part of the so-called "Tao can be Tao, but not surprising" (illogical: things that can't be figured out with normal thinking). Funny, right? It's weird if it's not funny!

You are a wave of nothingness in the third quarter

If scientists admit that "light" is a wave, they must admit that any light has been propagating in the universe like a spherical wave. More seriously, in 1924, scientist de Broglie proved that not only light, including electrons, protons and atoms, has the nature of waves. So if you admit that light is a wave without medium, then you have to admit that any atom in the universe propagates in space like a spherical wave. All the "reality" has disappeared. Because wave is not a thing, it is only the movement of "situation".

Finally, it is incredible that you have to accept that you and I, an "atomic man" composed of photons, electrons and protons, are no longer a real thing, but a wave of "something" that has spread in space like a spherical wave since BIGBANG.

Answer: Because "light" is a wave without medium, and sub-particles such as electrons and protons are waves without medium, the last thing that spreads is "nothingness"! In other words, everything is not "etheric" fluctuation, but "nothingness" fluctuation.

There is only one reason why new physics is "new"-wave-particle duality. Wave-particle duality means that matter has both wave and particle phases. When we admit that waves are one-dimensional (because a photon propagates into space continuously and stereoscopically like a spherical wave), we have to admit that you have been propagating in space like a spherical wave since the Big Bang that created the universe. Just as water waves are everywhere in a pond, you are everywhere in the universe at this moment.

Buddha said: "I don't know the color, the mountains and rivers outside, the open space, the salt, and the things in my heart", so you merged into the open space. Then you become the universe, and the universe becomes you. Then, there is another stage-how are "particles" created? To understand this is to understand how the heart "turns" everything. How to understand? This requires further analysis of the core secret of quantum mechanics-wave-particle duality.

Where did you go after you died? Who are we in the universe? What is the ultimate reality?
