I. Jinan
Jinan, also known as Quancheng, qi zhou and Longyi, is the capital of Shandong Province, a sub-provincial city, a mega-city, the core city of Jinan metropolitan area, and the central city in the south wing of Bohai Rim approved by the State Council. By 2022, there will be two counties in 10, with a total area of 10244.45 square kilometers, a permanent population of 9410.5 million, an urban population of 6.998 million and an urbanization rate of 74.3%.
Jinan is located in the east of China, in the middle and west of Shandong, on the southeast edge of North China Plain, with a geographical location of 36 01'-37 32' north latitude and11617 48 east longitude. Jinan is an important intersection of the Army Headquarters of the Northern Theater of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the Bohai Economic Zone and the Beijing-Shanghai Economic Axis, and it is one of the important transportation hubs in East China.

Jinan has a long history and is the birthplace of prehistoric culture "Longshan Culture". There are ruins of Chengziya in Neolithic Age in this area, including the Great Wall of Qi before Qin Changcheng, as well as the painted Luohan in Song Dynasty and the Giant Buddha in Sui Dynasty (located in the Giant Buddha Village in Licheng District, built in Sui Dynasty, which is the largest Buddha statue in Shandong).
China's first collection of poems, The Book of Songs, contains Tan Ren's satirical poem Dadong, which is the earliest extant document about Jinan. 1986 12 was declared as a national historical and cultural city by the State Council.
Shun (about the 22nd century) once "fished and plowed in Lishan". Lishan is the Qianfo Mountain in the south of Lixia District, Jinan City. Therefore, there are various names scattered in cities named after Shun, such as Shungeng Road, Shunhua Road and Shungeng Mountain.

On February 22, 20 16, Zhangqiu City was revoked and Zhangqiu District of Jinan City was established. The original administrative division of Zhangqiu City was Zhangqiu District of Jinan City.
2065438+On June 9, 2008, Jiyang County was abolished and Jiyang District of Jinan City was established. The former administrative area of Jiyang County was Jiyang District.
2065438+June 2009, the State Council approved Shandong Province to adjust the administrative divisions of Jinan City and Laiwu City, cancel the prefecture-level Laiwu City, and put it under the jurisdiction of Jinan City; Establish Laiwu District of Jinan City, and take the administrative area of Laicheng District of Laiwu City as the administrative area of Laiwu District; Jinan Gangcheng District is established, and the administrative area of Laiwu Gangcheng District is the administrative area of Gangcheng District.
