Gustav Schwebb (1792- 1850), one of the representatives of German romantic poets, was born in Stuttgart. He studied theology at the famous Tubingen Theological Seminary when he was in college. After graduation, he worked as a priest for a while and then worked as a teacher. He used to be Schiller's teacher and met the great German writers Goethe and Uhlander.
Most of his creations are poems. In addition, he also edited and published five volumes of German poems and German folk stories for teenagers and the elderly, but his most famous and influential ones are ancient Greek myths and legends. The original name of this book is Gods and Heroes. It is widely used and sorted out according to various Greek mythology documents, forming a relatively complete system.
