Chou-yu Cheng
Wandering for a long time, I want to go home.
As if, I no longer belong to everything here.
I'm going to take off the mast lamp that has been hanging for a long time.
Cancel the last signal on the voyage.
I'm going home. ...
Every sail will sail and sail.
Spezia Bay (Note)
Like a tired sun
Landing there, I know
Every cloud kisses.
The gurgling river is like a shallow whirlpool.
not have ...
I'm going home.
There are blue empty seats in the corner of the sky.
Welcome banquet with constellations.
Where clouds and sails hide.
My lamp will rise there …
(Note) spezia Bay: the place where Shelley disappeared.
Appreciation: The aesthetic features and expressive techniques of western modernism and the traditional consciousness of China's classical poetry have formed the unique poetic style of Zheng Chouyu's poetry in the long historical development.
Modernists do not pursue ordinary syntax, but prefer prose sentence patterns. The relationship between words is not as close as traditional poetry, but loosely combined, which is fully reflected in the poem "Return to Sail".
Zheng Chouyu, 1933 was born in ancient Zhao Yan (now Hebei), and his father was a soldier of the Kuomintang. Due to the influence of Zhao Yan's unrestrained culture and family, it is not surprising that he has acquired some chivalry. Of course, what is more important is the cruel atmosphere of the times. At the age of three, he fought with his father in the north and south of the river, and he was full of ambition to serve the country since he was a child. His personality shows "a strong heroism". When the poet's artistic expression tends to mature, he generally does not directly and clearly express the realistic theme, which is out of the need of "beauty". For example, when Shelley and Qu Yuan were written in Returning from Sailing, we did not call them by their first names, but used their dead points: spezia Bay and Miluo River.
Zheng Chouyu also expressed a deep and strong local complex in his poems. Such as "drifting for a long time/I want to go home/as if/I no longer belong to everything here/I know/every cloud will kiss the Miluo River/swirl there like a shallow vortex …
