Notes on Tagore's Poetry Collection "Gitanjali" (2)

Notes on Tagore's Poetry Collection Gitanjali

What we do in our pursuit may be exactly what we do in our daily life: "In the code word of bright dawn, we agreed to go boating together" (Chapter 42), "In many different moods, I sang many songs" (Chapter 45), "I went to a tryst alone", "I gave myself to sleep" and "I kept opening the door and looking into the darkness". In this way, the author describes the image of the material world without using the language of daily life. From ordinary things and daily experiences, he leads us to discover eternity and feel infinity.

Repeated reading and dialogue, under the guidance of the author, in this pursuit process, our hearts have been purified. The author personifies nature and naturalizes characters at the same time, so that social and natural, where we live, is integrated. At this time, we have touched the truth we are pursuing, which is similar to ours: "At that time, your words will put wings in every nest of mine;" Your music should bloom in my jungle flowers. " Nature, man and truth are integrated, which is our ideal world.

Such an ideal is of eternal significance to the life of our human world in time and space. The era of the author's life and creation is the era of Indian national catastrophe. He opposes violence, advocates love and peace, and hopes that the human world can get rid of harm and ugliness and realize the harmonious life between people and between man and nature described in his poems. "Enter the paradise of freedom, my father, and wake up my country." Chapter 35; As an oriental literary work, Chittaglia won the Nobel Prize and was recognized and respected by the western world, not only because of its rich philosophy and unique lyrical meaning, but also because of its peaceful, quiet, true, good and beautiful thoughts, which is exactly what the western world needs. When the western world is being swept by war, expansion and plunder, Gitankali is like a clear spring, bringing cool moisture.

Today, our life still needs such comfort. This may be the reason why Gitanjali became an immortal classic. Its unremitting pursuit of truth, yearning for truth, goodness and beauty, and yearning for nature are the eternal instinctive pursuit of human spiritual life. It was the encounter with Gitanjali that made me re-understand and think about these problems. This is a "poem", a song praising God. But I vaguely feel that this poem seems to be dedicated to everyone in our secular life, to you and to me. I have my reasons, and I don't have to be like others; His description of the real world shows the feeling of pursuing ideals in my heart. Perhaps for everyone who has ideals in his heart, the attraction of ideals to us is so surprisingly consistent: our ideals do not have to succumb to the will of others, and we "have no fear in our hearts and hold our heads high" (Chapter 35); In our ideal world, "knowledge is free", we can fully stretch our investment without any constraints that limit our exploration; "The world is not divided into pieces by the walls of narrow homes", we are no longer sad for loneliness, and we are no longer lacking in communication; "Words come from the depths of truth", and we have a firm belief in our hearts that words in the depths of truth will never be easily shaken; We have never stopped "stretching our arms to perfection with unremitting efforts", and our hearts have not been disturbed by any secular and utilitarian factors. Only when we accept the guidance of thinking and "move towards constantly relaxing thoughts and behaviors" can all our ideals be realized and all our efforts will be rewarded.

I got the answer I wanted. It was "Gitanjali" that strengthened my belief. As an old friend who knows me well, he knows my shortcomings. We have always been bosom friends. He used words to express the vague direction in my heart and let me see the road ahead. It knows where I will be shaken, and it keeps showing me that wonderful picture all the way, attracting me to move forward tirelessly; Even the storms and dark clouds along the way, dry and burning, all appeared one by one, teaching me to be optimistic and open-minded, "never bow to arrogance" (Chapter 36); Teach me to care for the people around me, "Let me never abandon the poor", not be stingy when giving love, not expecting anything in return, and pay sincerely, starting from loving daily life, and let the world return to the innocence of childlike innocence. Life is always accompanied by love, beauty, music and poetry. In unspeakable purity, I can always pursue my ideal-the process of pursuing is my ideal.

So now, I deeply know that my persistence is worthwhile. I no longer doubt and hesitate. The poet had expected readers to enjoy the happiness of life with him in a hundred years: "In the happiness in your heart, I hope you can feel the lively happiness that was sung in a spring morning, and its happy songs will come in a hundred years." Today, Gitanjali has been a classic that has been circulated for nearly a hundred years. Believe in its purity and persistence, so that it can continue to be passed down and awaken the dreams of more and more people. This is a "poem", dedicated to God, to ideals, and to everyone who has a dream in his heart. ;
