Why has the English translation of China's ancient poems changed?

Most of China's ancient poems are based on the political environment at that time, and at the same time, they have to be sung, which leads to fluency, even if translated into vernacular, they have to be lengthy. If ancient poems were translated into vernacular Chinese and then into English, there would be no such problem. On the other hand, English poetry is equally important, and if you don't understand literal translation, it will be very confusing. Translation of a poem without careful use of words is not good.
