As a rising science fiction writer at the end of the 20th century, Liu Ye maintained the creative momentum for several years. His works are magnificent and imaginative. He, He and He are called "He Cikang" by sci-fi fans.
Liu is a science fiction writer who came out of science fiction fans. He began to write science fiction in his spare time in the mid-1980s, and it was not until 1999 that his first short story Song of the Whale was published in Science Fiction World. He has a mature creative concept and has deeply explored the aesthetic factors of scientific knowledge. He believes that the rigorous scientific system itself has the grand, broad and profound beauty that traditional literature can't understand and express. This grasps the most essential aesthetic foundation of science fiction literature: showing the aesthetic factors in science. No matter in science or literature, few people pay attention to this marginal problem.
Liu tried to embody this principle in his own creation. He has an amazing ability to fabricate big phenomena. Planets, the solar system, the Milky Way and even the whole universe are all described objects, which are accessible and comprehensive in his works, and are no longer empty concepts. Liu is deeply influenced by Russian literature, and his novel creation reflects the deep melancholy of Russian literature.
In addition to the high combination of scientific and technological content and humanistic thought, Liu's strong nationalist sentiment is also an important reason why he is loved by people. Liu himself loves Russian culture, greatly appreciates it in his works, and often takes the United States as his imaginary enemy.
