Bai Juyi's White Chrysanthemum at the Double Ninth Festival Banquet
A yard full of golden chrysanthemums with a bunch of flowers in the middle, the flowers are so lonely.
Just like today's feast, the old man went to the place where the young man went.

Poetry appreciation and author introduction
Make an appreciative comment
This poem entitled "Give White Chrysanthemums" begins by saying that all chrysanthemums in the garden are golden yellow. "There are many flowers in the garden, and there are lonely clumps like frost in the chrysanthemum." This is a kind of foil technique, which makes the white "solitary cluster" in the next sentence more prominent, just like "a little red among all greens", and that little red is more eye-catching.
Compared with "enrichment", "depression" and "loneliness", chrysanthemum attracts more attention. The vivid metaphor of "color as frost" depicts the bright colors of white chrysanthemums. For example, traditional painting depicts a large area of background, while the theme often pays more attention to artistic conception.
