Ye's Poetics of China has been updated.
Recently, Chinese studies and history books are becoming new reading hotspots. During the Shanghai Book Fair, Reading by Zhuangzi, General History of Qing Dynasty and Biography of Su Dongpo were very popular with readers. At the same time, People's Literature Publishing House published an updated version of China Poetics by the famous scholar Mr. Ye, which was loved by many readers as soon as it was listed.
China's Poetics is the classic masterpiece of Mr. Ye, the leader of Chinese classical poetics and comparative literature. For more than ten years, it has become a popular classic reader both on the mainland and overseas. After being published by Sanlian Bookstore 1992, this book has become a necessary introductory reading for universities and middle school students to learn and understand China's classical poems and modern poems, and it is also a reference book for some Chinese departments in universities. On the basis of the original edition, the new edition published by People's Literature Publishing House has added Mr. Ye's preface, as well as four latest poetic and aesthetic articles, such as An Empty Place: the Aesthetics of Clouds, Re-emphasizing the Smart Thinking of Zen in Song Dynasty, and Modern Poems with Two Cultures Dislocated in Taiwan Province from the Late 1950s to the Early 1970s.
Where is the unique beauty and charm of Tang poetry and Song poetry? From what angle should we interpret it aesthetically to ensure that its 100% poetry will not be lost? China's poetics provides a new perspective. After reading it, we will know that our misunderstanding of Tang poetry and Song poetry has greatly reduced the aesthetic feeling of classical poetry.
This book is divided into three parts: classical part, conveying and explaining meaning, and modern part. It replaces textbooks with transparent, ethereal and poetic pens, which transcends the Chinese and western horizons and reveals the mysteries and mechanisms of China's classical poetry, modern poetry (including poetry in Taiwan Province Province) and Taoist aesthetics. This book combines the rigor of scholars with the elegance of writers and poets.
Should be what you need.
