? -Su Shi
When did the moon begin to appear? I take my glass from a distance. I don't know about palaces in the sky. What year is tonight? I'm willing to ride the wind to the sky, I'm afraid I can't stand the cold for nine days in a pavilion of fine jade. Dance to find out what shadows look like on the earth.
? The moon turned into a scarlet pavilion, hanging low on the carved window, shining on the sleepy self. The moon should not have any resentment against people. Why is it round when people are gone? People are sad and happy, and they are separated and reunited. The moon will darken or shine, and it will become round or round. Nothing is perfect, even in the past. I hope people will live for a long time and have a good scenery thousands of miles away.
How long will the full moon appear?
Holding a glass, I asked the sky.
I don't know what time of year it is.
Tonight in the high palace.
Riding the wind, I will fly there,
However, I'm worried that the Crystal Palace will
It is too high and too cold for me.
I stood up to dance and play with my shadow.
Can you be gay on high places like on the ground?
The moon revolves around the red chamber.
Through the light screen window
She lit up the sleepless bed.
So, why are times always so full and bright when people break up?
Men are sad and happy; They parted or met again;
Whether the moon is bright or dark, there will be gains and losses.
Nothing is perfect since ancient times.
So let's wish that person.
Will live as long as possible!
Although thousands of miles apart, we will share her beauty.
? Su Shi, Zi Zizhan, a famous writer, calligrapher and painter in the Northern Song Dynasty, was one of the eight great poets in the Tang and Song Dynasties and the main representative of the wild poets. "Water Tune Song Tou" is a famous work by Su Shi, a poet, who expressed his infinite yearning for his younger brother Su Zhe during his tenure in Mizhou.
? The first sentence in the poem says, "When will there be a bright moon? Ask for wine from heaven. " At the time of the full moon, the poet raised his glass to ask heaven, and wrote the relationship between heaven and man, and between the moon and man with romantic imagination. Xu teacher translated: "How long will the full moon appear? Holding a glass in my hand, I asked the Sky, which perfectly connected the "full moon" and the "sky" in ancient China, especially the expression of the "full moon" was very accurate, in line with the scene of the Mid-Autumn Festival full moon. The second sentence: "I don't know the heavenly palace. What year is this evening? " Lead the poet's thoughts to a vast space and express the poet's inner worries. I don't know what time of year it is. Tonight in the high palace. " Among them, xu teacher didn't use literal translation, but adopted free translation and affirmative sentences for translation, but used "Jiang Hui" to express speculation, which was also very suitable for the emotion of the original text. The third sentence: "I want to go home by wind, but I'm afraid it's too cold." In fact, it was the poet who euphemistically expressed his hesitation between "being born" and "joining the WTO" and "retreating" and "advancing" with the help of the bright moon, because the ancient literati in China firmly believed that "poverty is the only way to protect themselves, and wealth is the only way to help the world", which was a dead proposition that puzzled the literati. I am afraid of riding the wind, where I can fly. But I'm afraid the Crystal Palace will. Too high and too cold for me "vividly translates the poet's hesitation and hesitation." The last two sentences in the poem "people have joys and sorrows, and the moon is full of rain and shine, and it is difficult to be complete in ancient times." I hope people will live for a long time. A thousand miles is a widely circulated poem, which expresses the poet's higher ideological realm and adds a positive tone to the whole poem. Lin Yutang's translation is "but it is rare to have perfect happiness. The moon is full of rain and shine, and people meet each other late." I only pray that our lives will be long and our souls will fly healthily together! " The translation of "Rare is Perfect-"in the book is very good. It is rare for Mr. Lin to emphasize perfection with inverted sentences. Personally, I think this version can better reflect the poet's mood at that time.
I'll read Mr. Lin Yutang's translation to you next time.
