Poetry expressing love for mother

First, "Wandering sons" Author: Meng Jiao

The mother used the needle and thread in her hand to make clothes for her long-distance son.

Before leaving, I had a stitch for fear that my son would come back late and his clothes would be damaged.

Who can say that a filial child like the weak can repay his mother's love like the sunshine in spring?

This is a famous poem by Meng Jiao, a poet in the Tang Dynasty.

The poet's family is ordinary, he has been wandering all his life, has no fixed occupation, and often leaves his mother to run around.

The poet failed to enter the Jinshi twice. With the support of his mother, he was admitted to the Jinshi at the age of 46.

At the age of 5 1, the poet finally became a county captain in Liyang (Jiangsu Province) (equivalent to the current police chief), but this job was not his favorite occupation. Low-key introverted personality, love poetry and songs. It's really boring to travel a lot, visit the scenery everywhere and arrest people for interrogation.

When the magistrate saw that he had no intention of official business, he told his superiors that he would hire a temporary worker to work instead of him, and half of his salary was given to others, so Meng Jiao was down and out.

After working for three years, Meng Jiao resigned.

When the poet was an official in Liyang, he took his long-lost mother to his side and temporarily ended the state of separation. His work is not satisfactory, and his hands are tight. Every time he goes out for a long trip, his old mother does needlework for him, fearing that his clothes will be worn out if he comes back late.

"But how much love there is in an inch of grass, I have gained three spring rays." My children's thoughts are really insignificant, and I can't repay my mother's kindness.

Confucius said in The Analects: If parents are here, they will swim well if they don't travel far.

It means don't go away when your parents are alive. Even if you leave, you should settle your parents first.

Because affection is more precious than anything else, it is necessary to support parents.

Su Shi called this poem "poetry comes from the heart, and when it comes out, it is worried."

Later generations also juxtaposed this poem with Weeding at Noon.
