On Mangzhong's Poem "Today Beetles Should Be Born"

This was written by Bai Juyi, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. The whole poem is divided into five paragraphs, which expresses the praise and awe for the vitality and laws of festivals in nature by using rich metaphors and fine description skills.

Mango species see that scale insects should be thrifty today, and red grass tree warblers mourn. This paper describes the seasonal growth of beetles in mango season and the influence of the hot atmosphere around them on nature, showing readers the close relationship between everything in nature and seasons, and showing the poet's humble and pious attitude towards nature. When Emmanuel walked into the building, she dared not hide her surprise with clothes.

Starting with the description of women entering the building door, through the description of their costumes and manners, the characteristics of women's petite figure and shy personality are conveyed, and compared with the beetle image in the first paragraph, the contrast and harmony between nature and humanity are highlighted. Sitting in front of the temple and talking about lingering, Luoyang is cold in autumn. The two images of lingering and autumn chill are used to replace the two common expressions of "talking about gossip" and "autumn" and explain them, which makes the whole poem highlight a shallow and gentle artistic conception.

When I heard a heavy sound on the anvil, I wanted to see why the sad people were at home. Taking summer nights as the background, by describing the images of families knocking on the anvil, holding brooms and worrying about people at night in midsummer, the realistic sense that everything should be timely in the season of awn planting is strengthened, which reflects the keen observation of China traditional culture on seasonal changes and respect for nature and humanity.

You have to look at bamboo during the day, and you don't know when it will be the year of return. The ending paragraph ends with the image of "reading the classics", which echoes the stinging beetle in the first paragraph, making the whole poem skillfully linked. At the same time, the ending "I don't know when to return to the New Year" also points out that life is short, compared with the infinite continuation of all things in nature, thus further enhancing readers' sense of nothingness and awe of man and nature.
