2. Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series

/images/p/ ... 1.lzzzzzz.jpg

Completion degree: unfinished.

I dare say that this fascinating legend will be made up of many books. Each one continues the story of Valentine.

This series depicts a dark and apocalyptic world in the near future. This world is ruled by blood-sucking aliens, and human beings exist as food and blood banks. This is no ordinary novel that announces revelation. Knight is very common, which is almost reminiscent of the epic fantasy world. But don't misunderstand, this novel is not limited to one genre, it has elements of horror, fantasy and science fiction. This is a scary hell, it will keep the tension of darkness, From the time you opened the book to the time you rubbed your eyes at three o'clock in the morning ...

13. Ted Williams' Memories, Sorrow and Thorns series

http://books.fantasy.co.uk/images/n1/n6933.jpg

Completion: three books have been completed.

-Memories, Sorrow and Thorns is Williams' version of The Lord of the Rings. No, as I said before, it is not a clone, and it is very different-in a good direction, of course. Williams' characterization is top-notch. You can travel with young Simon, from children to adults, from kitchen attendants to heroes. This book has a heavy plot, or it often crawls at a snail's speed. However, this series is an unadorned gem and a must-read for fantasy fans.

similar recommendation: The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien. Another similar book is Michael A. Stackelberg's Dragon Crown Series, which is characterized by the epic battle between black and white and the battle between good and evil. Ted Williams will publish a new fantasy epic series called Shadow Play in November. Based on his famous novels in the past (the previous comments are very optimistic), you can pay attention to Shadow Play. It will look like a gem.

14. ursula le guin's trilogy

series completion: completed.

three books. (After the original trilogy, two more books were written, so the whole series is five)

-Start with Earthsea Wizards. This is an excellent costume drama, which transcends the ordinary mill boy and becomes a wizard to save the world. The description is so excellent that you want to be amazed; The stories are equally fascinating, and you will never feel that you bought the wrong series-yes, they are worth buying. They are the kind of books that you can read again and again, touching, wonderful and occasionally sad. This trilogy is one of the masterpieces of fantasy literature.

similar recommendation: The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien. I also recommend the wonderful trilogy "The Mystery of the Stars" by Philip K. McCallip, with the same style and different development stories. You can also watch Sean Russell's Swan War.

15. Steven Erickson's Record of the Soul of Maraz

Finished reading: unfinished.

plan ten books. Five books have been published.

-since Tolkien, fantasy has rarely changed, and it is often maintained in a way that reminds people of Tolkien's original works. Ok, I dare say frankly that Eriksson's series is revolutionary. No fantasy is more epic in scope than the Record of the Soul of Maraz. His legendary story combines military affairs with epic fantasy. With perfect description, epic plot, cruel reality and charming gray characters, Eriksson mixed the best George Raymond Richard Martin with the epic scenes of Greek mythology such as Odyssey. There is a word to describe it: it was born. This is a gratifying change from the usual fantasy clones like Robert Jordan appearing like flies.

Similar recommendation: george martin's fire and ice legend has Eriksson's favorite epic scenes and gray characters. Martin's works are smaller in scale, so they are more concentrated and wise in plot. Then there is Scott Barker's Darkness Has Came, a huge epic scene and beautiful description. Then there is Thomas Hanan's masterpiece The Oath of the Empire, which is a historical legend, in which the Roman Empire did not fall and magic played an important role. The Oath of the Empire is an epic with a lot of magical wars. The huge war between the two armies (Persia and Rome) is so fierce that you can even hear the shouts of the protagonists.

16. The Oath of the Empire by Thomas Hanan

Series completion: four books have been completed

.

-change history. In 6 AD, Rome did not fall. The Eastern Roman Empire will join the Western Roman Empire in order to attack Persia, the enemy of Constantinople who threatened it. Characterized by epic battles, beautiful women and powerful magic. The Oath of the Empire is an epic story that will make your hair sizzle with its magic. It has the epic perspective of Steven Erickson's novels, the dispute like Robert Jordan, and george martin's drastic reduction of the protagonist. Great!

Similar recommendation: Steven Eriksson's "The Soul of Maraz" is an epic like history and avoids a lot of battles in "The Oath of the Empire". The dazzling magical battles are also very similar in scale and scope. Hanan's works pay more attention to individual characters, while Eriksson looks far away. Another is Michael West's Excalibur of the Sun series, which is also the same scene as The Oath of the Empire (the collision of two different civilizations and the rise of an ancient evil force in the dark to plot to control the human world ...).

----------------. De e fester's

://books.fantasy.co.uk/images/n1/n6125.jpg

series completion: two books have been completed

.

-the best fantasy classic. It is the pioneering work of the super-popular fantasy writer Roumund E. Feist. This is also his masterpiece. Fester's works pay attention to the extensive use of magic and political tension.

Similar recommendation: The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. Jordan's masterpiece is full of magic. If you really like "The Magician", you can go and see another book by Festus, called "Midkemia". They all happen in the same world, although most of them can't reach the height of his first two books, The Apprentice and The Master. The Empire Trilogy, co-authored with Jenny Watts, may be an exception. The Empire Trilogy is a wonderful work, and I highly recommend it.

18. Deborah Chester's "Sword, Ring and Holy Grail" trilogy

http://books.fantasy.co.uk ... s/n4/n22598.jpg

Completion degree:

three books have been completed.

-elves and dwarves have become the new laughingstock of those original fantasy novels. Every time I see words like "elf" or "dwarf", I stop. Anyway, Chester did some original work. She wrote a trilogy of sword and magic, but unlike Conan the Man, all her characters have their own real feelings and brains, not just simple limbs. The description of characters is excellent. Who ever thought that a sword and magical fantasy would have depth? Chester did this very well. Before you start reading, please make sure that you have got all three books, because when you finish reading the first one, you can't wait to continue with the rest.

Similar recommendation: The Legend of Sword Dancer by Jennifer Robertson. There is also her trilogy "The Kingdom of Light", which reads a lot like "Sword, Ring and Holy Grail" (though not so good).

19. john mark's tyrant and king

http://books.fantasy.co.uk ... s/N2/n1285.jpg

series completion: three books have been completed

.

-starting with "Nal's lackeys". The great trilogy. The best military fantasy! Kyle's characters are neither black nor white. Every character, even the supposed "bad guy", is described as a "person" rather than a simple "consumable bad guy". You will stand with them from the bottom of your heart, even though you may not agree with their actions. Coupled with moderate action scenes and bizarre plots, this book is a must-read!

Similar recommendation: The King of Prophecy trilogy by Chris Ponqu. If you like Kyle's rejection of black and white characters, watch his other series, such as Eye of God and the sequel Devil's Armor. If you like the military settings in Tyrants and Kings, there is Glenn Cook's Black Mercenary.

2.  Haydn's Rhapsody trilogy

http://books.fantasy.co.uk ... s/n4/n2353.jpg

series completion: completed.

three books.

-a good book. Haydn created the real world and you can read it day after day. Its book has a simple romantic feeling (thankfully, there is no bra ripper in it). Some romances and epics have the same theme, and they rarely build legends on concepts. This book is well done. For Romeo and Juliet, it is a treasure.

21. The Gate of Death by Tracy Seakman and Margaret Weiss

http://books.fantasy.co.uk/images/n1/n691.jpg

Completion degree: seven books have been completed

.

-As you know, I am not a D&; D literature lovers, and Weiss and Seakman spent a lot of energy to write such books. In any case, this huge epic fantasy story is not like a dragon gun. It is huge, ambitious and well worth reading. I am very happy to have a few weeks to integrate myself into this addictive legend. If you like Robert Jordan and Ray Roumund E Fest, then you will like Doors of Death.

Similar recommendation: The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. The Wizards series by Roumund E. Feist.

22. Ang Lee hearn's trilogy

http://books.fantasy.co.uk .../n11/n55154.jpg

series completion: completed

1. Crossing the nightingale

2. In the pillow. This series is one of my favorites. I haven't read such an excellent book for many years. I have read many works, many of which can be found here. To be honest, I have read too many books, which makes me accustomed to-even when I read fantasy novels-thinking that they are of poor quality in advance. Stupid flies like Robert Newcombe's The Fifth Witch and Terry Gukende's The Naked Empire are everywhere now.

Author: Nonsense and overbearing. You replied to this speech at 19: 36 on April 3, 29.

---------------. "Through the Nightingale Land" is such a flower. It is completely different from ordinary mill-born fantasy novels, and even unique.

The story is set in a mysterious Japanese society, although there is no definite history directly involved, and there is only a small amount of magic. This book is excellent, but it is not Robert Jordan's way. Perhaps the best way to describe it is a recipe: take a solemn background of the shogunate, mix the cold assassin elements of the protagonist's death, soak it in the mysterious Eric nast-style ninja, and then put in a complicated plot, outstanding characters, a sad suit and a romantic piece, and then you get one of the best stories I think.

If you have read fire and ice for 15 times, read the Wheel of Time repeatedly more than Nelly Wei, and even have exhausted Huber's novels, then choose this book, it won't let you down.

It is a huge epic about love, betrayal, loyalty, magic and hard revenge. It is so excellent that you can't help but roll over the cover. I highly recommend you to see it.

Similar recommendation: If you like the martial arts theme or are fascinated by the charm of the Far East, read The Brotherhood by Sean Russell, and the oriental epic fantasy by Kurt Benjamin-a wheel of time in China

23. The Sword Dancer by Jennifer Robertson

http://books. Fantastic.

-magical works. Wit, humor, action scenes and romance, these books are worth spending anyone's time. The interaction and constant opposition between the two protagonists are excellent.
