In the practice of "five steps and three lessons ruminant unit teaching method", I pay attention to the use of comparative teaching method. Or help students make a whole comparison in the class with the unit as the unit; Or compare them lesson by lesson in the three steps of reading teaching; Or compare the writing methods, materials, themes and ideas of the same style or different styles, and seek common ground while reserving differences or seek common ground while reserving differences; Or compare the reading materials with the contrast method. The commonly used comparison method is an important standard to distinguish unit teaching from individual teaching. Practice has proved that if this method is used properly, it will consolidate and improve students' knowledge, improve their reading ability, analytical ability and appreciation of literary works, and students will really gain a lot. Specific practices are as follows:
(-), in the unit-oriented classroom to help students make overall comparison.
In the unit-oriented course (that is, the general lesson), I not only explain clearly the learning purpose and key points of this unit to students, but also ask students to read the whole unit roughly and ask them to think about the similarities and differences between the lessons of this unit, which requires students to use their brains more and have a preliminary perception of the whole unit through comparison. After the students answer the thinking questions, I will help them compare and give them a rational understanding. For example, when studying Unit 1 of Book 5, let students know clearly that the texts of this unit are news and newsletters published in newspapers and periodicals, which belong to news genre. According to the characteristics of this unit, let the students clearly know the similarities and differences of this genre: the content is true and accurate, not fictional and not exaggerated. Then, let the students read through every text in this unit, so that they can understand that they belong to the same news genre, but news and communication are different. The news report "A Million Troops of the People's Liberation Army Crossing the Yangtze River" is timely and concise; Who is the cutest person? This newsletter timely and accurately reports meaningful people and things in real life, but the people and things it reports are more specific and complete.

The three steps of reading teaching are to divide the text of the same unit into three types: reading guidance, imitating reading and self-reading, and the text of the same unit is often embarrassing. For another example, Unit 5 of Book 5 is a novel unit. When studying, I instruct students to compare the social reality of old China reflected by Confucius (introductory course) and Fan Jinzhong's plays (imitation course). In such a social environment, what kind of personality does the protagonist in the novel have? What are the similarities and differences between the methods of portraying characters? When studying "Lutiha Boxing Town in Kansai" (self-study class), guide students to compare the differences in language style between it and "Kong Jizi". Through comparison, let the students master the three elements of the novel: the characters, the plot and the environment, and the relationship between them.
(3) Compare different genres of texts.
If the comparison of the same style focuses on seeking differences in similarities, then the comparison of different styles focuses on seeking common ground in differences. Through the comparison of different genres, a multi-angle and multi-level comparison is formed, and a horizontal connection of knowledge is formed. For example, when studying the second volume of Narrative by Zhu Kezhen, an outstanding scientist, I organized students to compare it with the argumentative essay in memory of Bethune learned in the first volume. "Both praise the noble qualities of the characters, but what is the difference in writing?" By contrast, the students made it clear that commemorating Bethune was an argumentative paper, focusing on discussion, and asked why they should learn Bethune's spirit to convince others. The story of the characters in this article is concise and to the point, serving the discussion. Zhu Kezhen, an outstanding scientist, is a narrative. The author selected five segments of Zhu Kezhen's scientific research work to show his persistence in scientific career, rigorous attitude towards academic research and the realm of dedication to the people. Therefore, the article "Zhu Kezhen, an Outstanding Scientist" requires that the elements of narrative should be made clear, the flesh-and-blood characters should be portrayed, and people should be emotional. Narration is mainly narrative, interspersed with appropriate comments, embellishing the lofty ideological realm of the characters. On the one hand, this comparison consolidates the knowledge of narrative that has been learned, and more importantly, it further clarifies the differences between narrative and narrative in argumentative writing, and the differences between arguments in argumentative writing and narrative writing, which is of great help to students who are initially exposed to argumentative writing, and can clearly distinguish the functions of argumentative writing and narrative writing, and lay a good foundation for reading and writing in the future.
(4) Compare the texts with the same theme.
The fifth volume of Poetry Unit contains two poems with the theme of "snow". In teaching, I ask students to compare these two poems with the same theme, but they reflect the different ideological realms of the two poets in different times, and their artistic techniques also have their own characteristics. The snow scene in Bai Xuege, written by frontier poets in Tang Dynasty, is written in both big and small places. Mao Zedong, a proletarian revolutionary, has always spent money like water, and his artistic conception is magnificent. The snow scene written in Bai Xuege's Farewell to Tian Shuji's Home, of course, also has the beauty of blowing open the petals of ten thousand pear trees, which is pleasing to the eye, but more is to render the strange cold and bleak clouds in the snow; Always praise the beauty of the motherland, optimistic and heroic. "Bai Xuege Farewell to Tian Shuji Wu's Home" expresses the melancholy caused by his friend's return to Beijing, deliberately exaggerating the cold, but comments on eternity by writing snow scenes and expressing lofty sentiments, without mentioning the strange cold. Once compared, students can appreciate the heroic spirit of proletarian revolutionaries. The thoughts of the two poets are also fundamentally different. In addition, I also used multimedia as an auxiliary means to recite two poems with different styles for students to enjoy, so that students can better feel the artistic beauty and artistic conception of the poems and receive good teaching results.
(5) Compare the comparative readings in ruminant data.
In the experimental data of "ruminant unit teaching method", one or two comparative reading selections are arranged in the relevant parts of reading guidance class and imitation reading class. Most of these articles are related to the text they have learned (or the same genre, content or writing method).
