How to understand God's will? The first chapter is the significance of obeying God's will.

God's will is God's own thoughts, wishes, plans, demands, commands and instructions. In the Bible, a large number of truth lessons, prohibitions, model figures and cautionary examples are recorded. All this is for one purpose, that is, to point out to mankind: what is God's heart and what is his hope for mankind.

Simply put, the Bible expresses God's will to avoid what we know and obey what we know. Know what you hate and what you like.

Therefore, whether to obey God's will becomes a measuring table to measure whether believers really believe in God.

At that time, John the Baptist, a servant of God and a pioneer of Jesus, said to the audience in Israel according to God's will, "Don't say to yourself that Abraham was our ancestor … You should bear fruit commensurate with repentance" (Matthew 3: 8, 9). Jesus himself rebuked the false disciples at that time and said, "Lord, why do you call me Lord?" But you won't listen to me? " (Luke 6: 46) It can be seen that whether a person repents of his sins and abides by the Lord's words (that is, his ideas) is a concrete proof of whether a person really believes in the Lord, and it is also an important instrument to measure the truth of his beliefs.

One day, a beginner student was swimming in a river. He suddenly felt weak and was about to sink into the water, so he let out a cry. There was a coach on the shore, and he immediately threw him a lifeline. He quickly grabbed the rope and went ashore and was saved.

Students have a clear understanding of their own dangers and have complete confidence in the coach and lifeline. It was this belief that saved him from sinking and was saved. His call, his hand, and his grip on the rope are all testimony to the true trust of his coach and lifeline on the other side.

What kind of psychology and attitude believers hold in the face of God's clear teaching (including the will that needs to be asked) is a clear test of whether believers' confidence is true and reliable.

This is the first meaning of whether believers obey the will of the Lord.
