Reflections on How to Teach Chinese by Ning Hongbin

If Mr. Wang Jialiang hadn't organized a reading activity of teachers' professional books, I didn't know there were such famous teachers as Mr. Ning Hongbin in the language field. This is the third book in the reading plan, which coincides with the epidemic and postpartum, so I didn't buy this book at that time. Later, when I saw so many famous teachers in the group, even those in Fuyang, worked so hard, I put away my laziness and began to study. I read "Small but Big Reasons-Interview with Chinese Teaching" on WeChat, participated in the online exchange activities of this book, and listened to the sharing of three teachers. Their voices are beautiful, their sharing ideas are clear, and their language expression is smooth and friendly. I like it very much, and I hope that one day I can be a person to share it with before the stage. Teacher Wang said that reading Sun Shaozhen's "A Case of Micro-analysis of Masterpieces" can be based on previous books. So I finished reading the book in about ten days and left it for a few days. I didn't write my own thoughts after reading it, because of trivial matters and because I wanted to see what was left in my mind after reading it.

This book is edited and revised by Ning Lao, and it is a collection of essays published by him in his decades of teaching. I was deeply impressed by the following points:

First, he has always regarded "cultivating students to love and skillfully use the language and characters of the motherland" as his goal and purpose, and has always pursued what Tao Xingzhi said, "Chinese textbooks are just an example" and insisted on teaching Chinese with textbooks. In fact, his simple idea is to emphasize "innovation" when writing textbooks.

In reading teaching, he is good at making a fuss about titles, and puts forward main questions by redrawing titles, adding subtitles and changing titles, so as to guide students to read the full text. Then go back to the original title of the text and realize the advantages of the original title. Another major feature is to grasp the contradictions, anomalies and special punctuation marks in the text, and start from the blanks of these words, so that students can express their views. Then, when reading the text, they can speak with the characters in the article and try to bring the students into the context of the text to experience the emotions of the characters and the theme of the novel. Specifically, if the unsung hero didn't finish what he said in seven games, why did the minor characters have names and the hero didn't? Then there is the "change and constancy" in the chameleon, and how to understand the "laughter" of the crowd in the square at the end. Ning Lao will summarize the reading methods in time when taking students to read texts in teaching, that is, teaching always conforms to the laws of Chinese subject. I can't remember the specific name. It seems that I will reread this book when I have time.

In addition, in composition teaching, Mr. Ning pays special attention to the training of system and thinking mode. Take junior high school three years as a cycle. In the first year, let students have something to write, in the second year, let students write wonderful words, and in the third year, train students to write in the examination room. Ning Lao pays great attention to students' oral composition training, and uses reading class and ten minutes before class to do various oral training. Among them, the training of thinking modes such as association and imagination is adopted. He will also train students to make sentences in word teaching, as if they had learned it in the first or second grade of primary school. However, simple sentence-making in junior high school classroom does not meet the requirements of Teacher Ning. He will set various restrictions, such as a derogatory term. When you make a sentence, the subject is a disgraceful image, and he will say that the next classmate will use this word to describe a positive image. You can write forward or backward, and you can write from multiple angles. In short, it is also training students' thinking.

The technical level can be studied and then practiced repeatedly. The artistic level needs to be created by itself, but it needs to be accumulated anyway. I haven't read this book deeply enough, so I need to read more, including the first four. Some people say that you have to have the courage to always read and always be new!
